"We should hold as precious any elevated views of the Mississippi River from public property. Some real estate developers/investors have gotten ahold of some of those public views and turned them into private property. See it while you can."
"I was in the park Mon morning at 10:00 am on nov 13 2023. I had a few items I needed to throw away. I discarded them onto one of the supplies trash cans. As soon as I was finished I turn and there was a park worker telling me not to throw anything else in the trash can because they just emptied them. Also he said if I had anymore trash on my car threat he would give me a trash bag and I could take the trash with me. EXCUSE ME!?! If the city doesn’t want people throwing trash away they shouldn’t supply trash cans"
"The view from here was great. The only bad part were the druggie bums hanging around the building but they were harmless."
"A little run down, but looks like it should still be a fun place for kids to play. Unfortunately, there was a homeless man camped out on the playground when we arrived, and he left behind a beer can, a license plate, and a knife - a steel kitchen knife. I would not recommend as a place to bring children. Apparently, this is a section of town that is particularly friendly to children."
"This park has a nice playground, restrooms (which are currently closed), a concrete walking path, and limited views of the Mississippi River. There's also a small area of milkweed plants and flowers, which serve as a haven for our butterfly friends. Unfortunately, we found syringes and a 9mm bullet casing in the grass there. That was a bit of a bummer."
