"A Dallas staple of a restaurant. Busy every weekend and never disappoints. We order carajillos to start, lots of great appetizers. Our favorite being the ceviche. No shortage of margaritas. We love the red snapper and steak options specifically. Service has always been friendly and helpful, we always ask for menu recommendations and favorites. Make sure to leave time to hit the cigar bar afterwards. We save room for a smoke and desert in the back. Tres leches & flan are favorites."

"Javier's is a class act. From the moment you enter and Javier himself greets you, it feels like home. The whole experience is memorable from the themed decor to the attentive service to the PHENOMINAL food. As Javier recommended, I, too, agree you must get the sampler appetizer. The quail is like none other. I had the Mole Poblano, which was one of the best ever. The atmosphere While appears very busy, and bustling still provides a setting for intimate discussion without much effort to listen. Thanks Javier for keeping it classy. "As far as I am concerned, Javier’s is the top restaurant in Dallas. I am originally from Dallas, but have lived in Chicago for about ten years now…whenever I fly back “home”, Javier’s is a must. When you walk into the restaurant, you are greeted by friendly staff and a very interesting decor of rustic paintings and trinkets. The meal begins with a delicious frozen margarita accompanied with two of the most divine salsas you will ever experience. The menu is loaded with traditional Mexican fare, but in my opinion the fajitas (beef!) are the way to go. Many delicious appetizers too. Have to finish off with a flaming Mexican coffee and a cigar in the cigar room!"
