"Have worked with Langlois for years and never had a bad experience until recently. I got a new car and when I called to add it, I was given a price and told that would change when I got rid of my current car because the quote included a multi-car discount. The plan was to get rid of my “original” car within the week (which I did), so I needed to know the ACTUAL cost for my new car when it was the only car on the policy. Mary Jo told me she could estimate how much my new car would be, but to get an exact quote, she would need to remove my old car and then put it back on. She sounded like she felt it was a pain to do this, but I explained I really needed an accurate number for the new car. She said it would take a bit and she would call me back. She called back a short while later, told me she had gone ahead and removed the original car to get the amount for just my new car and gave me that number. Imagine my dismay when, a couple of days later, I called to remove the original car because it was sold, and the bill for my new car was 10% higher than the “precise” number she had given me. She tried repeatedly to state that she said it was an approximate price when we talked, which is definitely not true because I take extensive notes during calls such as these and her exact statement to me was that she had removed my original car (despite not swanning to go to the effort) so that she could determine that the actual amount for my new car would be X. I’m not sure if she just didn’t feel like going to the effort of removing the original car to get an accurate price like I asked so she just said she did or what went on, but it’s bad enough I’m ending up paying 10% more but trying to gaslight me into believing that the entire conversation was different than it actually was is exceptionally aggravating. This is the reason I take notes on call such as this. And I have the whole conversation documented in my notes. And she is not being forthright about the interaction."
