University Heights by Scott Felder Homes

"We had terrble experience at University Heights shortly after a family member purchased a home there. The home is beautiful and so is the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the customer service was so poor that we felt obligated to leave this review. Excited about the first-home purchase, we decided to visit the model home for decoration ideas. We tried enter about half an hour before closing time. The salesperson, Chris Dodd, was unhappy about letting us view it because he did not want to stay late. He reluctantly unlocked the door for us to show ourselves around, but returned about ten minutes later and exclaimed, "I'm ready to go home!" When we pointed out that it was not yet closing time, he acknowledged we were right but retorted, "It's close enough for government work." I have worked sales jobs and understand how it feels to be kept late, but we did not keep anyone late. More importantly, what this written review cannot capture is Chris' body language, and tone. His conduct passed the threshold of rudeness into physical intimidation. Had he simply said, "I know it is not closing time, but I was hoping to leave early today and promise to make it up to you some other time," we all would have understood. When purchasing a new home it is hard not to be concerned about the underlying quality with problems this overt."

"Derrick at the University Heights ‘office’ was very rude and unprofessional this afternoon as my husband and I was viewing one of the model homes… he asked us ‘were we looking for something?’ Did not introduce himself did not offer to assist us in anyway. I had to ask his name! As a current Scott Felder home owner who has visited many model homes while we were home searching in the past, I’ve never been met by such an accusatory, aggressive, ignorant, unprofessional person like Derrick in my life. Scott Felder may want to do better vetting of their employees"
