"I had a really traumatic experience at the office, specifically with Dr. Burton, himself. I was in a difficult situation having had a wisdom tooth break during my last pregnancy. I was given a very small safe window to have the tooth extracted in the 2nd trimester. When he was trying to remove the tooth, it just wouldn't numb. I was already feeling anxious about the entire situation, but what didn't help was the anger and hostility I felt was directed at me. He said "because you have chosen to wait so long" the infection was so advanced that it couldn't be numbed. I didn't delay my care. I didn't even know there was an issue with the tooth until the break, and then of course it took weeks to get in for an appointment. He took off his gloves, literally threw them down, raised his voice to me saying "This is why I don't like working on pregnant women!" I had an asthma attack in the chair from crying and he left the room. I was monitored by a kind woman who apologized for the situation, but he showed absolutely zero compassion or respect for me. I felt Dr. Burton was completely unprofessional. I am a nurse, and I can not fathom yelling at one of our patients, especially when they are in such a vulnerable state. Completely unacceptable. I debated even writing a negative review because my experience was several years ago, but after seeing how Dr. Burton has responded to other patients who have had similar bad experiences, I felt it was necessary. You don't always get it right, and when a patient has a bad experience, you should work to correct the wrong, not dodge the complaints and call people liars. It's worth noting that a short time later I had the tooth removed, without issue, by Dr. Gustav as well."

"I had my lower wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Burton, and it was a very well-managed process. Dr. Burton and his staff answered all of my questions, and I experienced very little pain during and after the proceedure due to very effective anesthesia and pain management. The staff were all very pleasant, and Dr. Burton was not chatty, but very professional and skilled. I highly recommend this office for oral surgery."
