"A friend turned me onto lehr's summer sausage probably 20 years ago, even though I lived 2 hours away I'd make a detour with a cooler full of ice packs once a year and stuff my deep freeze. 5 years ago I moved 9 hours away.. the agony.. however my loving wife found that they were now doing shipping and my Christmas present was a big ole box of sausage and snack sticks. Just ordered my yearly fix, to many coworkers delight since I haven't been sharing lately as I was hoarding the last few bits I had. My tradition of converting my coworkers from the store and mall bought sausage may not be as long as the Lehr family has been knocking it out of the park, but I'll keep going for as long as they keep turning out delicious smoked meat treats."

"Hands down the best summer sausage and smokies out there! If you like old fashioned cold smoked sausage, this is the place. We drive over 3 hours to bring our venison to them each year.
