Dr. Jimit Khakhar is the Dental Director at Grand Prairie. He believes in listening to each patient's needs and working together to maintain and improve lifelong health. Dr. Khakhar completed his Bachelor's degree at the Government Dental College and Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, and attended New York University where he received his Dental degree. He is a member of the American Student Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Khakhar speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati, allowing him to connect with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

María Méndez has been an essential part of the Jefferson Dental family since 2008. For the past three years, she has led twelve full-time employees at our Grand Prairie clinic. María and her team prioritize the patient experience to ensure each visit is as pleasant as possible and to minimize any concerns. The Grand Prairie team is respectful, thorough, and pays close attention to reviewing all procedure details to ensure patients fully understand them.

The team is constantly on the move to check on each patient's status and remains in constant communication to proactively address any concerns. They understand the importance of ensuring patients' comfort and safety during dental treatments. Each team member is friendly, while the doctors go above and beyond to make patients feel secure with their treatments. If requested, María personally escorts parents of children receiving pediatric dental treatment to see how they are doing.

When it comes to recovery, the team helps patients step by step through a specific procedure, while Dental Director Dr. Kahkar takes great care and patience throughout all procedures. The clinic's philosophy is that everyone should be able to receive dental care, so walk-in visits are accepted for dental emergencies.

María is proud of the high ratings the clinic has received for service from patients. The majority of them are very satisfied with their procedures from start to finish, leaving the clinic with a big smile after their treatment is completed. María recalls a particular patient whose nerves had prevented them from visiting a dentist for 30 years. It was no surprise to María that this patient would require extensive dental work. The patient was so embarrassed that they couldn't smile or show their teeth for an x-ray. Dr. Kahkar was able to rebuild their teeth using a combination of crowns, bridges, and other partial bridges. When this patient saw their new smile for the first time, their life changed positively, being able to confidently smile after so many years. The procedures they underwent have turned their life around, and they are exceptionally happy with their new smile.
