Our food was cold, had to send it back twice to be heated up….asked for to go boxes and been waiting 15 minutes and it was not crowded at all… and to top it off the waiter told the manager who pretty said she don’t care as I am watching and she was making all kinds of unprofessional facial expressions and never tried talking to me to rectify or even apologize about the situation! "The fried chicken was very well seasoned and tasted great. I had the combo which includes a side of grilled catfish fillet and sauteed peppers. The Mac and cheese was different but good, it was well seasoned. I loved loved loved the potato and green beans. That was a first for me. I think I would definitely add this to my week planning. The cornbread was delicious. Even though the food was good, I think my girlfriend hyped the food so much that I was disappointed!"

"I love a good chicken and waffles. I frequented the famous chicken and waffles restaurant in Los Angeles and I thought I'd finally give Chicago a try. I didn't expect them to be like LA but I did expect quality especially after being in service for so many years. Well, I was disappointed. I don't mind spending $30 for a good meal. I'd spend more if I have to, but today I felt cheated. The lemon pepper wings were missing the lemon and simply tasted like salt and pepper chicken that was fried too long. In the photo you can see a long skinny thumb in comparison to the size of the wings. 5 tiny pieces of basic wings. Waffle is in the name. So why is it that the waffle tasted chewy and almost stale? The flavor was good, but the texture was all wrong. Aunt Jemima would've been better. I know good food when I taste it. This was lacking love and attention. I drove away frustrated and disappointed. I was expecting a 10:50am pick up and it wasn't ready until about 11:30am because the tablet in the kitchen didn't receive my online order? But I patiently waited and hoped for a good lunch. I don't think I want to return and risk another disappointing experience. I'll just wait for my next trip to Cali for better chicken and waffles."

"Food was absolutely amazing. The waffles had a great taste of buttermilk and the wings were crispy and delicious! Same goes to the fries (well seasoned). The Mac and cheese was super cheesy and had a great taste of seasoning as well. The waiter was very polite and totally welcoming! Would recommend this place. Excellent service"
