"I went to pick up a order for my husband. We put it in lay-away. They had the sweaters on sale for 20% off. The guy that worked the register said when we pick them up and if they are on sale he would give us the discount. Today when I asked for the discount because they were still on sale he said it would be a store credit only. When I told him what he said and after going back & forth with him, he proceeded to tell me it’s not his fault I came in the store in a bad mood and told me to stop talking about it. They sell very nice hats, and men’s clothing, it’s a St Louis tradition, but you still need to offer customer service. We’ve purchased several items from Levine’s but I doubt it seriously if I go back. Two stars because the product has nothing to do with the service."

"Levine Hat Co. is a dry goods store in the grand old sense. Their selection is top notch and strikes the perfect balance between honoring and perpetuating traditional designs and also offering modern alternatives. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and most important of all, they have a sense of what will look good on you. I recommend taking their suggestions as a good authority. They also offer shirts and other accessories. The old building and location on Washington Ave. add much to the experience of shopping there. So long as they remain in business, I will trust my head to no one else."

"Always top quality hats to choose from! A very nice selection to browse through too. Although they did used to have additional shopping on the 2nd floor but now it seems all their hat choices are all now on one floor."
