"This place has it all! Plus, at the Deerfield location, parking is a breeze. We got the full slab of ribs and the rib tips (pro tip: rib tips are not on the dine-in menu, but you can ask for them). Everything about this meal was perfect, with one small exception: the fries weren't hot, and they were too crispy. BUT the ribs were lip-smacking tender and delicious. The rib tips were out-of-this-world meaty and sweet. The slaw is amazing, and the au gratin potatoes are as good as ever. Be sure to start your meal with the cornbread. You don’t want to miss it! "Thank you Carson’s for the great food, amazing hospitality and attention to detail! I put on my reservation that we were going to Carson’s in honor of my grandpa who has just recently passed. It was his favorite restaurant in Chicago and he had planned on visiting with his granddaughter but did not get the chance. The managers saw this note in my reservation and gave us the sweetest gift in his honor. Not only were we impressed with the attention to detail but the food amazing and very affordable considering the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant! Thank you for such a great memory we were able to share as a family!"

"I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here. It was our first visit since the location in Skokie closed. Our server Shpresa was very attentive and friendly. The BBQ Baby Back Ribs were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The Caesar salad and roasted Greek potatoes tasted great too. We are looking forward to coming here again soon."

"We really looked forward to dining at Carson's... The restaurant used to serve great ribs many years ago when we lived closer to it. Unfortunately, Carson's did not deliver this time. The ribs were so hard that cutting them was nearly impossible! I am going to quote another unhappy reviewer who summed it up perfectly: "What I don't understand is inedible ribs that can't be cut with a steak knife no less chewed off the bone. Dry and inedible.". What a bummer, especially that the entrees were crazy expensive ( yes, you pay extra for bread, for substitutes,and there is NO kids menu so if you're dining with kids, you're in big trouble!). On a positive note, I have to say their cole slaw, salmon,and tiramisu were excellent. I should probably skip the part when the waiter spilled my glass of wine.. anyway, they do add 18% tip on top of your bill and insist you add an extra tip. I don't know what to think about this one. I am used to restaurants adding gratuity for parties of 8 people or more, but this was something different. We will not be coming back. There are much better steakhouses all over Chicagoland. A short update: I feel like the manager's reply to my review speaks volumes... still, you can check the photos where you can clearly see a wine glass next to the salmon dish. Lastly,please note that we left an extra cash tip for our server. Feel free to ask him. He, contrary to you, was very pleasant. We also wish you everything best."
