"We think we have found the cure for hunger! We found it at @galaxy.hotpot in Deerfield! An unassuming AYCE Hot Pot and Sushi Restaurant in a strip mall at the Shoppes of Riverwoods First, you order your soup base, your meats, seafood, and sushi (if you choose to) from your server. It's a very large selection with lots to choose from. Then, you go into the next room to select your own vegetables, noodles, sauces, and dessert. Everything is full of Flavor, Flair, and Fun! It's a restaurant we can guarantee you will come out lethargically full. We really enjoyed our Dinner here, and will definitely be back!"
"We had lunch on a weekend so dinner prices and offerings applied. We only had hot pot, so my review is about that option only. The hot pot was great! There were plenty of meat options, and I enjoyed the buffet style vegetable options. I liked that each person got to pick a broth, as it was fun trying more than one option. I recommend the Thai Tom Yum spicy broth the most, as it wasn't too spicy, and it was very flavorful. All three of us liked it the best. However, we also enjoyed the original and mushroom broths. The sauce bar was great, and I appreciated that there were mix recommendations provided. I do wish that all of the items in the vegetable section were labeled, as that would have made selecting those items easier."
"Great hotpot! One of the best in the suburbs. Fresh meats and veggies- good different kinds of soup base and sauces. Waitress gave good service! Was busy when we went first time today! Now we know why!"
"Pretty good hot pot place for the north suburbs! I got the original broth and my husband got the spicy broth. Both broths left much to be desired but still good- the spicy was the right amount of spice with more of a numbing sensation. They had a wide variety of hot pot sauces at the sauce bar. Had our favorite Chinese bbq sauce which is somewhat rare! Wide variety of hot pot items but the meats were about the quality you’d expect for all you can eat. Our waitress Naomi had great customer service! Will come back when the craving hits!"
