Buona - Bolingbrook

"My order was a pick up last night. My son's double burger looked like a picture. My daughter's sandwich looked wonderful the kids hotdogs the bun was very smashed. The fries were over done the smaller fry pieces were actually a very dark brown. My beef was awful very dry the cheese was forgotten. I even tried putting my own cheese on but it was too dry. We love you guys we live a block away and most times it's a treat. We just missed the mark this day. I just had a little rant in me today. Do better Buona beef especially when the food was almost $50"

"I have been coming to this location for a few years now and overall my experience has been great. The workers are very friendly, attentive and the food is ready when promised. I order on the app and the orders are accurate. Food is a great temperature. This is one of the few restaurants in Bolingbrook that’s worth going to. They’re really consistent."

"I would give this location a 4 overall. There was a small hiccup at the self ordering kiosk, there was no receipt paper. I took off one star because the taller girl didn’t initially acknowledge me. I used to work in retail so you should always acknowledge the customer and let him/her know you’ll be right with them. This girl ignored me at first until her supervisor told her to do her job. Luckily, there was a shorter girl that went above and beyond for me, she replaced the receipt paper and made sure I got everything I needed. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the supervisor and that employee, I would have given less stars. I ordered the original Italian beef - large with mozzarella cheese, sweet peppers, and dipped. Flavor was all there, plenty of meat for that meat to bun ratio, and the meat was moist. I prefer this interpretation of the Italian beef over Portillo’s (I’ve had many times) because the meat wasn’t dry. Prices are not overinflated like some people wrote. Onion rings were good no complaints. They do offer a couple plant based options."

"This is a well-managed Buona! The drive thru is usually pretty speedy and the quality of their italian beef has never let me down. Hot dogs are pretty good, too. Protip: get their classic 7" italian beef with hot giardiniera and tell them to BAPTIZE it! (that means they drown the sandwich in the juice before wrapping it up, making it messy and 100% delicious)"

"Overall a good experience. You can get some good food and also get some dessert at the attached rainbow cone. The place is a bit overpriced, as it is more expensive than similar places like Portillos. Had the Avocado Jack burger, very tasty. Only drawback would be that it had way too much Mayo. The fries were well cooked and not burnt. The onion rings were excellent, some of the best in the area. Better than Mickeys. Now the service was great, it was busy so we expected a small wait but it was not bad. Parking is free and easy to find. The fountain drink machine was acting funny as the Pepsi tasted very sour and not anywhere near what it is supposed to taste like."
