"Maannnn, I was on my way to get a load, and my derate light came on and went off. I've had a check engine light on for a couple weeks now, and had it diagnosed at a TA travel center in Jacksonville florida, where the tech there told me it was "no big deal" and was only linked to my adaptive cruise control. I noticed a ticking coming out of one of the components next to the power steering reservoir, which actually turns out controls all of my turbo. Those gears have been slipping for some time now, but the mechanic at the ta, told me it was nothing important. My light came on, and then I called GTG Peterbilt here in Quincy. I spoke to Cole, who is the shop manager, and he told me that I could bring it in immediately, and if it wasn't anything too significant, they should be able to get me in and out of here. Well not even 30 minutes later, I pulled up. Spoke to the really nice woman up front, she got my truck info, I dropped my trailer, and pulled up to the bay door for my diagnostic. Turns out, the check engine light had nothing to do with what the prior mechanic said, it was actually the issue I thought it may be, which controls my entire turbo system. Chuck is my mechanic and did my diagnostic, and then not even within 15 minutes, Cole came out, told me they have the part in stock, (and that my issue was actually somewhat severe), yanked ole girl into the bay, where they're wrenching away right now!!! Cole, Chuck, nice front office woman, I can't thank you enough getting me in and get me taken care of. I even offered to buy everyone lunch, but they kindly declined, but this is definitely definitely one of the better peterbilts I've ever been to! I don't wish another breakdown, but if it happens, I hope it's close to here!!! Thank you GTG!!!"
