"While this store is in a convenient location, the business itself is absolutely awful and outdated. I ordered a set of boots from them to be delivered to the store in case they didn't fit. They took my email and told me I'd be notified when they arrived through a message. Two weeks later I called the store, because I hadn't received a notification yet. The staff attempted to help but was restricted from viewing any orders made by them through their store, so I had no idea where the boots were or when they'd be delivered. I was forced to call their customer service line to find the status of the order. The representative ended up refunding the money. The boots were sent back to the sender because I didn't pick them up in time. When I asked the rep to solve the issue of not being notified, he insisted I just reorder the boots repeatedly instead of solving the inability for Shoe Carnival to notify me my order was in, despite them taking all of my personal information at the register. I was absolutely dumbfounded at Shoe Carnival's lack of awareness toward their customers as well as their policy of blocking in-store employees from tracking the orders they make from the store. I bought the boots elsewhere, online, at the same rate and less difficulty."

"Terrible customer service. In August I bought shoes online for my 7-year-old. He didn’t like them and refused to wear them. I called the store to verify that I could return them WITHOUT the box and WITHOUT the paper receipt. The lady I spoke to told me yes I could return them back to the store. I went in today to return them. The first thing the girl behind the counter said is she can give me store credit because I don’t have the box. I told her no, that’s not what they told me over the phone. I don’t want a store credit, there $50 shoes I want the refund like they told me would happen. She called the manager to the counter, she was told that’s fine you can give the refund. Then they tried to tell me the shoes looked like they’d been worn which they had not been. My son tried them on in the house and refused to wear them after that. I feel like they were trying to do everything possible to not refund me and made the situation more difficult than it had to be. The store shoe selection is not the best so I absolutely refused a store credit. On top of all that, as I was leaving the store I could hear them talking about me. Extremely unprofessional all the way around and it’s disgusting how they act as if the refund was coming out of their paychecks. Too much hassle came behind shopping at this store and I wouldn’t recommend them at all."

"Sam, who is the manager of the Peoria location is very unfriendly I really think she missed your calling as a prison guard probation officer Chinese torture device. Sam is very stone face. Didn’t ask if I wanted to look at the shoes I ordered online. Didn’t offer to help me find anything else in the store. Very direct and impersonal."
