"We were on a road trip from IA to Chicago and this was a stop before getting on the tollway. Service was great, food and atmosphere were what you'd expect. Typical diner type food that was good. Milkshake was pretty basic, biscuits and gravy seemed canned or prepackaged, hash browns(not pictured) were cooked well and crispy, pecan waffle was delicious."
"My wife and I stopped for breakfast. It's an old Big Boys Restaurant and the facilities are old and worn. The food was great and we had good service although signage warned of being understaffed and that a 4% penalty would be charged if you use a credit card rather than cash."
"I love this place. The food is great, service is fast and the servers are all really nice and responsive. The place is a little "broken in", but not too bad. I love that I can come in on my lunch break, eat REAL food, and be in and out. They seat me right away, and I am served soup, warm bread, and crackers as soon as I am done ordering. Mmmmm, yum! (I ordered soup and a sandwich.) The food comes out fast (this prob also depends on what you order) and it's priced about the same as some fast food places. Highly recommend this hidden gem for lunches! (If memory serves me correctly, breakfast time is a little busier, but also very yummy!)"
