"The food was good but i had higher hopes. The snow crab was super small and the takoyaki was more dough than actual octopus. I did enjoy my chicken katsu meal. my curry chicken buns were flavorful as well & the price for everything was great"
"My fiance was looking for Japanese food. We were going to go shopping in the loop and when we parked it was right in front of a Japanese place. All the food we had was really good. Beef rice platter was tons of food. Fed 3 of us with so getting 6 gyoza dumplings and 2 fried shrimp (they should take the skin off before they cook it it's kinda hard to take off after. Maybe you're supposed to eat it). We finished with fried ice cream! Amazing. After a long month of December we needed a break and this place made us feel so good. When we left we just felt so happy and good. Great food, really great servers, and just a nice calm atmosphere. Please give it a try!"
"You need to stop what you’re doing and go try G-san on the loop!!! This place has made my go-to list for friend dinners. They have a great selection of entrees, but the magic is in the skewers, sides and apps. You can spend a couple bucks on each skewer and get a side of rice for an excellent and inexpensive meal, or you can get a bunch of different skewers to share among friends for a great communal dinner experience. It’s perfect for a budget night out or an easy lunch. The fried quail egg skewers are fire and so are the curry steam buns. If you’re a fan of eel, then say no more. They’ve easily got your back in this department! They put a ton of love into these dishes and you should go out show them some love too!"
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Japanese grill bar restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the ramen. It's an absolute must-try. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the toppings fresh and generous. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or trying it for the first time, you won't be disappointed. But the surprises didn't stop there. The Japanese grill offerings were equally impressive. The meats were tender and beautifully seasoned, and the grill itself added a delightful smoky flavor. The menu offers a great variety of choices to suit all tastes. What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile. They take the time to explain the menu and make recommendations based on your preferences, ensuring you have a personalized dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it an excellent spot for a romantic date night or a gathering with friends. The attention to detail in the decor and table settings adds to the overall charm."
"We ordered 5 dishes. The stand out dish was the quail. It was delicious and not something we see all the time. All the chicken skewers we got we're good. Juicy but cooked well. We especially enjoyed the curry skewer. The takoyaki is good but not better then other places. We got the steak skewers but thought that for the price it wasn't that good. We would rather have bought more quail. The atmosphere is nice. We liked that tables by the window put you dude by side to watch the people walking by. We also liked that you could order and pay on your phone. If you're getting skewers do be prepared to spend quite a bit of don't go hungry. You will need a lot but it's quite fun. We'll be back though to try their other dishes. We think the bowls will be more substantial if your looking for a meal with more bang for your buck."
