"Worst experience I’ve ever had with any Medicaid company . They aren’t very knowledgeable and are very misleading in every department . I chose this for my children thinking it was the best option and came to find out very quickly I was very wrong . Wouldn’t recommend this headache on anybody. Save your time and energy and go with superior!"

"They don't help patients find doctors that are truly accepting this insurance and/or accepting new pts. And they choose to keep a specific Dr on as a provider that has left many minor children without mental health care, also said Dr refuses to sign any release that would authorize another Dr to take over their treatment because he'd rather force them to have to work thru TPC, when all the other required services aren't necessary due to receiving those same services thru another agency. So in turn there are children left without mental health care and this insurance won't do anything to address the Dr or pull the contract with said Dr... But then wants to say that they don't have any other options to help it's members. When they promise a call back, it is a miracle if you do get a call back... I've ultimately had to file a formal complaint and am also researching any and all legal options that can be taken... It's a shame that we have to fight just to get our children seen by Dr's with integrity and that are actually honest. Furthermore it's very disappointing that an insurance provider doesn't support their members alot more and stand up to these drs that are just over charging for services never rendered and scamming the insurance company out of money."

"Scam company. Their website claims that they provide high quality, affordable healthcare to the communities they serve. Yet, they refuse to approve insulin for their patients without prior authorization (which is simply a scam for the CEO to increase his salary from probably 50M a year to 51M a year. This is a medication needed otherwise people will end up in DKA and possibly die. But they don't care as long as they can increase their profits."

"Good luck trying to reach someone in customer service. I've spent over an hour on hold on two occasions. I did get through once only to be disconnected. I contacted my insurance agent to see if there were a work around to get through on the phone. She told me everyone was having trouble with First Care and people were dropping their coverage in droves. The agent herself is insured with First Care only because her doctors are in network. I'd recommend using another provider if at all possible."

"Did not receive cards in a timely manner and our provider could not find prof of insurance online. As of yet no response to email request (48 hours). Spent 15 minutes on phone and left voice mail. No response. After holding for an hour a rep answered and said they woul transfer me to someone who could help and put me right back to the beginning of the loop of recorded questions with prompts to push numers. If not for the fact that they took my money out of the bank I would not be sure they really existed. Rating them one star because no stars isn't an option."
