Reviews
"Quick and my salmon was delicious. The veggie mix had so many different things and they were all so good! Coffee was good too! Nice break from the walking."
"This review won't do much for a place with all the other dishes they have. I asked for the $6 'grilled tofu'. Instead I got four cold, pale, unseasoned, and not grilled strips of tofu on a huge plate. Very sad and disappointing, I rarely write reviews but this was a joke."
"The cashier was completely inattentive. She missed part of the order and got the dishes and sides mixed up. I asked for a regular milk for my son, but she gave me milk with reduced fat, and didn’t even warn me. Also, before ordering the soup, I checked if it’s spicy. She said “No”, but the soup turned out to be spicy. My child was absolutely hungry after going to this cafe. It was very unpleasant experience."
"Joseph needs more training in how to be courteous server and not forget people's orders. He was short with his attitude and then conveniently forgot our order, we kept seeing people who arrived after us getting their food, and he kept looking at us without our food. He did not go check on what was taking so long, it was only until we stood up to inquire with the food runner that we found our order had been sitting under the warmers, it seemed intentional. When we got our food finally there was no apology and just an unwelcoming vibe from him."
"We went for Sunday Brunch recently. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 2 PM. Like all the other times we've eaten here the food was delicious. Lots of little extra flavor touches that make it tasty and interesting. For brunch, you order and pay at a counter and the food is brought to your table. This time we had a mushroom and cheese omelet, lemon-blueberry pancakes with blueberry coulis and a tuna melt sandwich. An outdoor dining terrace with grill is a lovely option when the weather is suitable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was impeccably clean. The Garden View Café is really a gem. The cost is very reasonable for a "nice" cafe. The only possible downside of eating delicious food in a gorgeous garden is the parking fee. Even though garden admission is free the cost of parking is typically $25 per car on weekdays and $30 on weekends. Less for seniors and free for garden members. Of course, you could Uber here or take public transportation or bike or walk if you lived nearby to avoid the parking fee. But when combined with a nice long garden visit, often with free concerts during the summer, the parking fee for a meal here seems really worth it."
