"Don’t bother even booking an appt with them. They cancelled my first appt that I waited a week for the morning of the appt and rescheduled for a week later. They then cancelled the morning of the second appt. My third appt was supposed to be today and my time window was 11-2. At 3:30 when they still hadn’t shown up or even called to let me know they were late, I booked a new company. When I explained to them today my frustrations with the first 2 appts being cancelled, their response was that was a different technician than today’s. What does that even mean and why would I care???? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They simply don’t care and it shows."
"This was a terrible experience. Our oven stopped working and Lakeview Appliance was one of the companies listed on the Viking website as a certified repair location. The first visit was to diagnose the problem and cost $190. We are told a board was out and needed to be replaced for $450. The next visit was missed as the repairman couldn't wiat 4 minutes for someone to be there despite a 3 hour window. At the rescheduled visit, the new part didn't work and we were told a different $450 part was needed. During this visit, the "repair" man had to call someone to ask what to do. When he arrived to install the second part, this too didn't work and again he had to call someone. We then insisted that someone who actually knew something come and it turns out it was just the clock. It took us >2 months to get this fixed. During this time, I was told that half the estimate fee would be refunded since the diagnosis was wrong twice and now they have stopped responding. Recommend not letting this company touch your appliances and going else where."
"***UPDATE*** Wanted to share a recent experience. My Speed Queen dryer unit was becoming increasingly noisy. I was concerned it may be the bearings. I contacted the store I purchased it from as still under warranty. I was told again it would be Lakeview. My expectations were very low. However I am happy to report that I had a very positive experience this time. I was contacted in less than 24 hrs and had a serviceman within a few days. He was very polite and efficient. He quickly determined the issue and noted another unrelated problem. Both were fixed by the following week. I am very pleased with my 2nd experience and would recommend without hesitation. ***Original review*** Needed warranty repair for Speed Queen dryer. The store I purchased from sent message to this company on 11/14. Called store on 11/16 since no response. I have 6 people in my household and do A LOT of laundry. Lakeview finally called on 11.18. Another repairman who was looking at my oven and does Speed Queen repairs(not warranty) checked out dryer and determined heating element was bad. I shared this info and they said would order part. I have not heard from them since. Today is 12/1. I have left numerous messages. Ultimately I ended up paying for the repair with another company. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company!"
"After confirming service (date and time), Lakeview Appliance Service called to reschedule two weeks out. I tried to talk to the manager, Dan Rose. His staff ignored my calls and was completely unprofessional. Look elsewhere for service."
"Update: Lakeview called to try and schedule my replacement part during the LAST week of July 2023! This company is ridiculous and they blamed it on the manufacturer not having parts. This is obviously not true because the dryer has been operational for months after Speed Queen shipped the part to Mr. Appliance. Beware, if you use these people, they believe 2-3 months wait is acceptable for a part. I will give Lakeview credit for a prompt appointment and scheduling. They had a tech out to my house within two (2) days and he seemed like a nice guy. However, I needed a heating element for a Speed Queen dryer, which was under warranty so I obviously didn't want to make the repair myself. The tech drove an hour and a half to tell me the heating element was bad. He didn't have a replacement part on his truck and told me that I would be required to wait 2-3 weeks for the part and a new appointment. A dryer is something people use frequently so I find this wait to be unacceptable. Lakeview needs to improve their part stocking procedures if they want to stay in business. I had a separate appliance company come the next day and they had the part and replaced in one (1) business day. I would recommend anyone within their range to call Mr. Appliance of West Central Indiana. They were superb."
