"This Starbucks coffee is watered down and when we asked for ice coffee, there was little ice and it was warm on the bottom. Not to starbucks' normal standards"
"The people seemed very nice, service was quick. It had more to do with quality vs value. The sandwich, 7ish dollars was a bit dry and the bacon was soft. Although there was a crisp to the sandwich I think it had more to do with it being warmed for a bit and frankly that was probably why it was dry and the bacon was less enthusiastic. The drink (Pineapple lemonade) was ok, but the cup was solid ice with a bit of drink added. It was actually pretty flavorful for the first few sips, but then the ice started to melt and it rapidly became nicely flavored water. For $12 (plus a dollar tip) I feel like I could have gotten a much better "meal" practically anywhere else in the Mall. However if you are just after ambiance, nice people and something to sip then it is nor bad."
"Horrible customer service! Please managers train your people better! The 3 Ladies in there were talking for more than 10min without greeting anybody! I had to wait until they finished their conversation!"
"Today since becoming a mother, I had my second scariest moment. Layla, Noel, & I went to Gurnee Mills for a girl's day. We went and picked out cowgirl boots and rings. We got Wetzel's Pretzels and as we were walking out Layla mentioned getting Pink Drinks from Starbucks . After we ordered, Layla picked a booth out for us to sip our drinks. There was a booth along the wall and a chair on the opposite side of the table. I asked Layla to let me have the booth side, so I could feed Noel. ((THANK GOD!!!!)) As I scooted to sit down I was electrocuted while holding Noel. Unbeknownst to me, there were metal pieces sticking out of the outlet below the booth. ((I'd like to think it was a pure freak accident and someone didn't plan it with malice.)) I was electrocuted and instantly started shaking and sweating. I was in panic mode, wondering if Noel was okay, and thinking what do I do. Layla spoke loudly asking me for an employee. No one answered. I walked over to the counter and said to the closest worker I could, excuse me I was just electrocuted. She followed me to the booth, said something along the lines of she was sorry and asked if I wanted a free drink. I said no, we just bought ours. Then she walked away to make a sign so no one else sat there. A couple employees walked out together and took pictures. I said I didn't think about it cause we purchased drinks but my daughter is distraught do you think she could pick out a cup. The lady told me no, that she couldn't do that because it's considered merchandise that she could only pick out food or a drink. So she gave Layla a chocolate croissant. They DIDN'T call us a paramedic. They DIDN'T call us an ambulance. They DIDN'T file an incident report. Hell, they didn't even ask if baby Noel was okay. I had numbness in my right toes, my left arm was shaking uncontrollably, and I had a serious case of brain fog. I felt like if I closed my eyes for more than a second, I would have passed out. I called Gurnee's administration team to inform them. When they called me back they blamed it on all the baristas are young, newer employees, and they haven't been trained on what to do or how to handle it. Or that an incident report was needed. I explained how I wasn't trying to cost anyone their job, but emphasizing how important proper training is. I then called Starbuck's corporate to inform them of the unfortunate event that occurred. They told me a specialist will reach back out to me. I am extremely hurt and upset that Starbucks and Gurnee Mills handled it so poorly, and I will certainly be following up to make sure incident reports and the proper channels are followed for this incident, as I am extremely upset at how poorly it was handled. After spending 4+ hours in the ER, I am happy to announce Noel's & my ECG came back well. The ER wants follow up appointments in a few days. I am still shaken up. I am still sore in places but I am alive and my Noel is too. Starbucks is a HUGEEEEEE corporation and I feel like they should definitely do better!"
"Recently had a makeover, so it looks super stylish and modern. Very busy venue and positioned well in the mall to catch everyone. Lots of staff to keep up with orders which is a huge plus. Yes, this branch DOES accept the Starbucks app and rewards."
