"Successful personal shopping experience w/April. Complete outfits were waiting in the dressing room and saved me tons of time going through the store myself. Definitely worth it, hardest part making decisions how much too buy."
"I'm all for clothes mentor, I got some of my favorite pieces at various clothes mentors. My last visit to the South County store (about a week from now) was quite interesting.. when I walked in I got stared at with no greeting, it just made shopping here awkward. I struggled to find someone to get me a fitting room, and there was dust and what looked like different grease and marks on the walls, which hadn't been cleaned properly for whay looks like days. There was just a lot of dust in the store, including all over the floors. And there were clothes with a little too much wear, some tops were pilling and had holes in them, some even had safety pins holding the clothes together. I do love the big selection and I did find some clothes that were cute and like new! But I had to pass on the majority of it because of just wear. I understand Clothes Mentor is resale but if a top is gonna be priced at 22 dollars, that's pricey for something that's worn down. And while checking out I heard other employees talking about drama and what seemed to be another employee. I don't know their names because I was mainly focused on just leaving. After all, it started getting uncomfortable for me to shop. I may just stick to the Ellisville location, they are always the sweetest and friendliest people with a good sense of humor! I still like this location because of the designer handbags and jewelry but it won't be my go-to location."
"I love shopping and selling at Clothes Mentor. I’m able to cash in on clothing and accessories taking up space in my closet and purchase new & gently used designer merchandise at a fraction of the retail price. New merchandise fill the racks and website daily. The staff is amazing. They are experts at sourcing designer goods and they are so welcoming."
"Love this idea place! They buy designer and name brand clothes that are in style and in season. So, I don’t spend a lot of time picking through racks like I do at other thrift stores. Also, when I shop online, it’s usually ready the next day for me to pick up. I really enjoy shopping off of their website, but I would highly recommend visiting their store too, because there is so much more to see there! The prices are fair for the designer and name brands that they sell, and everything is great condition. Keep it up!"
"-Overall: tidy, bright, some items are priced high -Selling: easy process, quick turn around time, make sure to check the last slot time for selling (I believe it was 8 pm the last time I tried to sell there). The best part is that it is next to Plato’s Closet and you can try to sell it there if Clothes Mentor doesn’t take the items. I had much better sell rate with Plato’s than here. Probably due to the type of brands each place takes. I took three bags of items to sell and Clothes Mentor took only 1 item, yes, you read it right, 1 item. I’m not upset about it, just giving people a heads up about the reality that can happen to sellers. Then I took the same items next door to Plato’s Closet and they took almost everything. The cash payout is low at Plato’s though."
