"Loved it! Great breakfast there! Will be eating there from now on since the East Moline Maid Rite is now closed. Too bad because they had really good food there!"
"Same old fun retro diner atmosphere. Nice waitresses that got to me promptly. Sausage links were under cooked and jelly like on the inside. Scrambled eggs were slimy and not at all fluffy. Hash browns tasted slightly sour. Best part was the toast, but that should be impossible to screw up. Thought this place was making a return but they got a lot of work to do. Watched the cook get corrected on orders three times while eating, including my order. If you want breakfast there are way better options for the same price, try Meli's in Moline or Pancake House in RI."
"This place has REALLY gone down hill! Went in Friday night at 6 pm, was craving a BLT. I ordered the BLT club basket with a vanilla shake, hubby ordered a megarite basket with a strawberry shake. The table across from us sat dirty, with food and plates piled on it for the entire duration of our stay, which took forever because the two employees had no pep in their step. I get my good, no lettuce on the blt and very little mayo. I felt like I was eating a piece of plain toast and the bacon was burned to a crisp. Hubby's megarite was so full of grease he had to wipe it off with a napkin. I asked the waiter if he knew what was on a BLT. He came back and said the cook said they were out of lettuce, he could give me 2 bucks off or take my food and I eat nothing, hungry and it was later in the evening I choose to eat it, terrible idea. He also did not give us straws for the shakes, when we complained, he simply gave us the managers number, terrible service and food, minus the fries."
"First maid-rite today, heard lots about this upper midwest original and had to try it to check the box. Fried mushrooms provided an excellent start, then after much anticipation she dropped the famed maid-rite on the table. Honestly it wasn't bad, however it might be the most basic effort at a sandwich I've ever seen. I mean it's served with a dagone spoon for God sakes to scoop up all the dry, loose hamburger that rolled all over the basket. A sloppy joe is a revolution compared to this thing. Maybe the most plain and impractical sandwich out there. As far as the restaurant, it's a small diner with lots of good options. I recommend it for lunch. Anyplace with tots can't be bad."
"The food was so good! We will be returning. Everything came out quickly and very nice portion sizes. The milkshakes were amazing. The staff was very friendly. Recommend stopping if you're in town or passing through on the interstate. It's just a few minutes from the exit."
