"Updating this in February 2024: Taking my rating to 1 star. No communication from office staff. I’ve been trying to get a small concession on rent since November when my heat and a/c were both out for an entire month (yes, it was both hot and cold that month). Fire alarm issue still seems to be going on. They’re trying to secure the property more since we were still getting homeless people in here and peoples wheel were being stolen. For about two weeks only one elevator was working. I have rat feces in my mailbox. The office staff is non-responsive! They’re trying to charge me extra rent. They’ve been charging me for insurance the whole time I’ve lived here even though I provided it to them when I moved in because it was required at move in! Greystar is too big of a company to let this property be managed this way. I attempted to contact them to no avail. SLUM LORDS! I give two stars because I do love my apartment and my view. Management is changing right now so we are getting zero communication about anything. They do not answer emails or maintenence requests. My microwave has been broken for two weeks and my other maintenence requests have been neglected. The pool appears to be contaminated. The package locker is always broken and the building layout can be difficult to navigate so good luck getting delivery companies to come to your door. There’s free access to get in the building which is probably why the mailbox area smells of urine. The elevator closest to me works at its leisure. Lastly, they never paid my apartment locator his fee, so good luck to real estate agents and locators out there. Also, I’m not sure how quickly the Ion area is building up, but it appears that they will be building in front of the Fannin side of the building and likely obstructing the sunset/galleria area view which I have - I likely won’t be here that long though."
"Think long and hard. They are def some of the most affordable in the area. But know that it is an old building with old infrastructure. They change management companies like the wind. And the building fire alarms go off randomly all through out the week anytime of day. We work from home so it can cause a huge disservice to constantly have a glaring alarm going off."
"I lived here for almost a year now and things are just not improving. It is not safe to live here. My car got stolen right out of the parking garage WITH SECURITY ON DUTY that night. The parking garage entrance gate has been broken for weeks now and it's still not fixed. Not only that but the hallway to get your mail smells like pee, the elevator hasn't worked for so many months now, the garage gate keeps breaking and it takes them weeks to get it fixed every time. The fire alarms keep setting off at random times. The trash chute is always full and disgusting. If I were you, I'd find another place to live."
"It’s getting worse living here, every time I come out of the apartment I can see dirt everywhere. All of the pictures are taken in different days. These are not luxury apartments like the tray to sell them. These are apartments were you find homeless people sleeping inside. There are dirty all the time, and the answer to that is that they don’t have cleaning people. So you will find vomit for weeks, cockroaches dead for weeks, the smell of garbage all the time is disgusting. There is not security at all, we have lost packages outside our front door and the answer is sorry there are not cameras. We have problems with air conditioning for weeks!!! We have to leave to other apartment while they fix that and they don’t care about it. The alarm goes off at 5 am and 11 pm and the people we have met said the same thing! they want to move out as soon as their lease is finished! Believe me, if you come to live here you will regret it!! We are paying a lot! And we have seen apartments for the same price as here that are really luxury! I can’t wait to move out!!!"
"My friend has had a terrible experience trying to move in. They let a fee go to collections without informing her she had a fee in the first place and all they said was that they “missed it”. This delayed her move in for over a week. Apparently Olivia is the only one who could help her but most days she had to wait until the afternoon to get a call from her. The cherry on top is that they gave her a move in day on a day their office is closed (today, Sunday) and left no way for her to get her keys. A lot of false hope and no attempted accommodations for the inconvenience of people playing with your livelihood. You would think when it comes to trying to have a place to live someone would surely be a little more motivated to get you in as quickly as possible but you are better off going to a shelter than trying to live here."
