"The worse. I mean the worse apartment complex I’ve lived in. The office staff is very pleasant besides one whose name is Melisa. She is rude, and her attitude is disgusting. I was never ever, ever late on rent. Ever. i hardly ever called for maintenance for help unless it was REALLY necessary. They only update apartments that newer residents are renting while everyone else has to deal with old unattractive gates, blinds , carpets , etc. the rent shouldn’t be as high as it is for that type of apartment complex. The “security” sits in his car alllll night and never gets out. Brake ins on residents cars is daily , always getting notified every other day. Melisa had an issue about something, so instead of calling me in her office like a professional, she’s screaming out her car in front of neighbors. All my neighbors have said the exact same thing. I can go on and on, Moral of this is, if your thinking about it , i would re think your decision .. Never again. I let them keep my deposit, i just wanted to get out as soon as my lease was over which i did. Dreadful management. Dreadful. And to the property manager, please save the generic response that I see you posting towards people who are giving you their money every month. I will be sure to reach out to the management company as well to give a review of my experience because this was simply unacceptable from start to finish. I have lived in only a few other complexes and never experienced anything like this."
"I’ve been staying here for 3 months. Nantzin did an excellent job with getting me into my unit. She had great communication and made sure the unit was nice before move in. My stay here has been pretty good overall. It’s an older complex, but they do a great job of keeping it up. I’ve had to put in several work orders, but maintenance does a good job with getting it done. In my opinion, the best part of this complex is the price. It is an affordable, clean, and solid option, especially in this economy. If you’re looking for luxury or alot of amenities, then these are not the apartments for you. There are several of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. 45 & the Beltway are also very close."
"The day finally comes…Here is my feedback on my experience as a tenant at The Altmonte Apartments. The process in which it took to get in was fairly okay. James (no longer with the business) was very thorough and was on top of his role at any time I interacted with him. The property experienced three property manager changes while there. The assistant property manager, Christina pretty much runs the property. Melissa, the latest property manager before moving out is never connected to her residents. She tries to make it seem that she cares when she really doesn’t. She’s too caught up into her hair and doing “fun things” for the property such as food trucks and pet of the month. If you ask to speak with her directly, she’s never available and Christina tries to handle whatever the situation is. Now, the problem I have is with my move out. I was sent a final bill, stating that I owe $1,278.66. The charges include blind damages (I own that because of a nosey dog), damages to the kitchen bar and bathroom cabinets (not true…I own a cutting board and never placed anything on the bathroom cabinets to cause damages), carpet replacement (my neighbor under me and across as well as next door who still lives on property says the carpet was cleaned but the carpet was never replaced before the new tenant moved in) I was charged for water although I was out of the unit before March 1st and was charged through the first, I was also charged a prorate of $4.00 although I was moved out before the 1st. Lastly, it took me 3 days to ensure my unit was cleaned…Can someone please explain why was I billed $125.00 cleaning fee? I’ve lived in several apartments and have never received any such charges. I am taken back. When I tried to contact Christina to converse about the trumped up bill she just wanted to make it appear that I was being aggressive (of course you’re charging me for things that were incorrect, wrong and never completed so I have a major problem) Then I ask for the property management company I was given a number. I called to leave a voicemail and a month later I still haven’t heard from anyone that is willing to play fair in the sandbox and make these charges make sense. I do not recommend anyone to live here as a result of this. Lastly, my vehicle was broken into twice…Nothing was done. Not even an apology. The camera that I tried to park under daily that was a hit or Miss due to parking lot issues (no parking close to my unit after 8:00pm) doesn’t work and caught nothing. Also, my rear neighbors Catalytic converter was stolen twice from her same vehicle. Altmonte Apartments, do better. I would not recommend this property to anyone, especially single women that work late due to parking. I hope someone finds this post helpful. And to the property management company, you all should be ashamed."
"Nice apartments, need security to stay awake while on post. I got there to visit a friend, parked across from the Security vehicle with the yellow light flashing, felt safe because it was night, but upon closer look, he was asleep and it was barely nightfall. He only woke up when I activated my truck's alarm which is not exactly very quiet."
"I've been shopping around. Nice sized apartments for the price. A good deal not sacrificing quality and safety. The complex and apartments are clean and well maintained. The staff very friendly and helpful. Friendly neighbors. I like the townhome style apartments. Close to a lot of shopping on 45."
