"Staff is (usually) nice but unresponsive and unhelpful. Living here was nice, but getting contact from the staff is like pulling teeth. They seem to always quit after a few months, which I will assume is for good reason, but they don't update their website when someone leaves, so I end up contacting someone who quit weeks ago. Emailing staff just doesn't work. You have to go in person during the limited office hours if you need assistance, and even then, they might not even be there. I'm trying to move out and it's such a pain. I went in on Saturday as I have to work during the rest of the week, they said they would call me regarding my moving out and I never got a call. I'm having to go in next Saturday and just praying that I don't get brushed off again."

"We are sharing this review anonymously because the staff at the leasing office would single us out if we use our names. The only elevator in the building is very frequently broken. There have been times that we, the residents, have gone an entire weekend(s) without a functional elevator. There are residents living here that are disabled or require accommodations. What has been the leasing office’s response?? They placed blame and the responsibility of ensuring the function of the elevator on the residents. Instead of trying to repair the issue permanently. Elevators break or require maintenance from time to time, but ours is completely out of order too often. The leasing office staff is incredibly unprofessional. The way they treat the residents completely depends on how much or how little they like residents. Additionally, they gossip and share belittling comments about coworkers to the residents. I can only imagine what they say about the residents to each other. Not to mention that a significant percentage of the residents here are friends and/or family of the leasing office staff. Their personal perspectives, opinions, and relationships dictate how they operate the leasing office and resident issues. If you have any expectation of privacy, go ahead and forget about it. The leasing office staff keeps tabs on residents. When they tell you they watch the cameras, they definitely do. THEY LISTEN TO THE AUDIO. The property gets pretty gross. The garbage piles up ridiculously. There tends to be dog poop in and around their complex. The gate hasn’t been functional in almost a month with no repair in sight. So random folks come into the garage and hang out. There are many unsatisfied residents that are unsure about renewing a lease here as a result. If you’re looking for a place to live, don’t consider Avenue J Apartments."

"This is the place to call home ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Avenue J is a VERY clean newly constructed income based property. The apartment looks IDENTICAL to the photos online. When you need help all the girls are happy to assist. I worked with Jayden and she is truly INCREDIBLE! She is very patient, kind, knowledgeable and understanding about helping you with the application process. Everyone in the office is very professional and nice."

"Since my move-in to Avenue J, it has been nothing but excellent. It has a gated garage with our own parking spot, security patrol officer every night-(I’ve talk to them and they are cool), cameras on every floors, updated appliance, maintenance stays on top of work orders, comes with W/D-(which is a bonus point), great community gathering area, plans events for the residents and much more. I remembered when I walked into office on Saturday in August, I can tell Jayden was tired and was ready to go home, but she still kept it professional and friendly at all times. I also requested where I wanted to live and Jayden got me the apartment I wanted. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone, she is sweet, friendly, great work ethics and more. Only thing I wish this apartment had was balcony but I can’t complain my view of downtown and seeing sunset every night. Ohhh-it’s also in a goood location…it’s by U.S 59, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar, Gas Station and more all are close by. Definitely check out and call them….prices are good-!!!"

"It's still being built so, not all of the facilities are up and running. The application process was straight forward with no curve balls or anything. Units are selected depending on income. It's a very modern building. They're clearly swamped with applications and visitors so, be patient with them. UPDATE: It's been over 2 months and i have not heard anything back from them. Whenever I emailed the leasing manager, she kept assuring me that they would get back to me but, never did. UPDATE #2: I heard back from them on September 2nd saying that I needed to respond to them by the end of the day."
