"Sodo is a great place to live in my opinion. I've been here a year and in that time the complex has made this place feel more and more like a community than any complex I've ever stayed in. Monthly events that bring us together inside and outside of the complex have really grown on me and moving from another city to Houston I've gained so many friends from these gatherings. As far as safety is concerned I never once felt unsafe here. Now no place is perfect and I feel like there are some downsides ex: the rent that goes up after your lease but no additional changes have been made but that's a universal issue perhaps. I've stayed on the 5th floor viewing the garage which was "eh" and on the 23rd floor which is amazing honestly. Highly recommend a view if you move here."

"Lived here for 2 years and let me start this off by saying Grey Star ( property management company) is absolutely horrible. I worked for a Grey Star property back in college, and should have known it would be the same here. My time at SODO was great for the first 2-4 months then it went down hill. The elevators are always broken. I spent $200 at HEB and when I got to the hallway, was informed the elevators were down and it would not be another 4-6 hours until it would be fixed. My cold food spoiled and the assistant manager at the time, Ashley said I would be reimbursed... never was. It is not about the money, it is about the Customer service and helping others. She and other members of their team kept saying they " understood" when in reality, they did not. There were other tenants that needed to take medication and could not even go to their floor without taking the stairs. In order to take the stairs, the poor concierge had to unlock each floor manually and have a book placed as a door stopper. Another situation happened when I was coming home late from work and a homeless man was sleeping in the elevator. This was extremely scaring and told the security that did nothing about it and I had to call the police myself. It is truly disappointing that tenants pay to live here and have to endure these types of things. The parking garage is not secure and multiple cars have gotten broken in to. They leave the garage door open all the time which has random homeless people walking through it digging in the trash and sleeping next to your car. This place is not safe.. the " security guards" do not carry guns. I was talking to the security guard the other night before moving out and she told me she has a felony..... this place is like an episode from the Office. a JOKE. Please save your money and move elsewhere. I have posted more reviews like this regarding SODO and they keep getting deleted. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I’ve been living in the North Building for the past six months and my experience has been great! The maintenance team is prompt and efficient in addressing any issues. The concierge staff are always accommodating and eager to assist. Many thanks to Stu from the leasing office for kindly helping me secure an incredible apartment with stunning views!"

"I have been living here since July. Overall there has been some minor issues with elevators. As of now seems to be fixed. Amenities and appliances are nice. Security is a great, there is a locked garage for your vehicle. Staff is great and has gone through some changes. Maintenance is fast and effective. Walls are thick so I never really have any issues with noisy neighbors. Metrorail is walking distance so location is great. I would recommend if you want a nice city apartment with some good views."

"My experience with the management so far has been very positive. The whole process from getting the apartment tour, submitting the application, to moving in, everything went smoothly and it only took 3 business days which it’s pretty efficient. the leasing team and the concierge are very attentive and helpful. I want to thank Marley who showed me the property and helped me with the application. I also want to thank Loretta, Ashley, and ken who helped me with all my questions. I’m very happy to call this place home. The view from my apartment is amazing! Amy"
