The Life at Grand Oaks

"I moved here 6 months ago and within the first month I heard shootings 3 times since I been here I heard shooting 7 times either in the complex or right outside of it. When I moved in I was given a paper to mark any issues in the apartment, I did and no one came to fix it. Cars get broken into and the office says it’s not their responsibility the cameras must not work and there’s no security the gate never closed homeless people sleep by the mailbox some of the RESIDENTS are on drugs (crack) or drunks and walk around the complex screaming there are fruit flies EVERYWHERE even if you keep your house clean it’s like they live in the walls or something the floors and walls are so thin you can just about hear your neighbors breathe. I was happy to have found a home with cheaper rent but everything cheap isn’t always good if I could get out of my lease I would. This is like a glorified shelter."

"DO NOT LEASE HERE!! There is vandalism problem at these apartments within a month my 2 cars have been vandalized and I’ve seen several other cars vandalized as well. The office management does not care. The gates remain open 24/7, there is no security, the cameras are no help, probably don’t even work. At your own risk pretty much. I WANT OUT ASAP."

"I absolutely love my new apartment and I have no problems with management. NO PEST WHATSOEVER and I can’t stress enough how much I truly appreciate to not have roaches.I explained my need to move in expeditiously and Michelle got me in here fast within 3-4 days. My unit is BEAUTIFUL and LUXURIOUS. The apartments are very clean and well taken care of beautiful pool, nice clean park for the babies..Cost of move in was very affordable. Cost of my unit is very affordable. The only thing I don’t like is the people constantly walking up the street when u come or go but that’s more of a problem with the area and not the apartments itself… But anyways Michelle was an angel and maintenance was fast and easy. I’m not moving unless it’s into a house I love it here."

"Michelle in the leasing office literally did everything in her power! To get me into a unit! She was extremely helpful kind & understanding to my situation. I’m very happy to call this place home. The new renovations is really nice & the amenities here is wonderful. Michelle was very determined to get me into an apartment. I’m very grateful for Michelle helping me get my new home here. "Do not lease with this apartment complex you will be living ina construction zone. Maintenance will walk into your unit anytime they want without any notice. Things really get fixed or that’s months to get fixed. No one in the office answers the phones. When you do talk to management they are rude.. attached below are some pictures of the complex currently. Also it took over a month for drywall to be replaced after the freeze even though other unit that were about to moved into were replaced within a few days of the freeze but current residents have to wait. Also when they say renovated units they only mean adding a washer and dryer and taking the carpet out do the living room.. the mirrors are old as you can see from the pictures. I live on the third floor and my thermostat is never correct so a/c and heat never work properly but management isn’t concerned. Apartments are also poorly insulated there’s always an issue with water not working. I have more that I can type here but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPLEX They were way better under the old name and old owners And let’s not mentioned being misgendered and constantly question due to my name and what I look like Update: as of 3/2/23 af about 4:30 maintenance tried entering my unit without knocking while I was in my unit once they heard my dogs bark they immediately locked my door back and left and no one has told me why they tried entering my unit and there was no maintenance request open."
