The Park at Research Forest

"I have lived at The Park a little over a year and have really enjoyed calling this place home. I love that these apartments don’t feel like apartments but have much more of a home feel. The surroundings are peaceful and pleasant. Love all the trees and places to walk to nearby. Very Dog Friendly! Great, new dog park and lots of areas to walk your dog. Management also has nice dog treats in the lobby and welcome furry friends to stop by and visit. Friendly staff and management. Charlene, Devorah and Brianna are kind and professional and listen to your requests. They put together many nice community events that enhance living here. Maintenance Requests are handled quickly. Victor and Santiago are very responsive and helpful with any repairs and requests. Great neighbors, community and location. I’ve made lots of friends while living here and I love that it's close by to so many parks and stores."

"The units are great. When we toured the property our expectations were met. Once we moved in, the unit was exactly the same one we toured which was great. We knew what to expect. Charlene was a great help when we walked in without an appointment and helped us right away. And since moving in she’s been a great help with all questions/request we have. Maintenance requests are always done the same day. Location is awesome. Walking distance from the lake and the forest. Only wish we have is if the appliances met the standard of the rest of the apartment complex."

"I moved in here in March of '23, I had the best experience with my leasing agent Charlene. She took the dedicated time necessary to answer every question I had. She showed me different floorpans, and always answering my calls when I had other questions. Charlene was always helpful, kind, and friendly. She made my move in experience smooth and easy. I wish every business had a person like her working for them. I am happy with my large floor plan. The complex is currently undergoing some renovations and amenities upgrades. Can't wait to see how they turn out!"

"What I wanted/was shown is not what I got. I relocated to the Houston area from Illinois therefore, I was not able to view the actual unit. Also, I was told I had to sign the lease before seeing and moving into thee unit. In the videos I was sent the units all had dark cabinets and granite countertops in the kitchen. There were white sliding closet doors in the bedrooms. In my unit, there are light color cabinets and an unknown material on the countertops. The bathroom countertops are the worse because they are painted white and some of the paint had come off on my clothes when leaning forward against them to put my contacts in. TMI? Sorry, I just want to give detail. The bedroom closet sliding doors in my unit are heavy mirrors which are very difficult to move. The pantry doors open outward which is blocked by the refrigerator which can't open all the way. I said all this to say make sure you see the actual unit you're going to lease and ask which renovation package the unit has. The walls and floors are paper thin. I’m in a first floor unit. I can hear every step taken, every move made and some of the conversations of the residents above me. It sounds and feels like thunder whenever they walk or run. The neighbors next to me are extremely loud as well. Due to our dining rooms, kitchens and bathrooms being side by side, I can hear just about every move they make as well. The apartment complex itself is old. You can definitely see evidence of this in every aspect of the property except the fitness area, which is awesome. The location of apartment complex is great. It's only about 1.5 from I-45 and very close to shopping and every restaurant you can think of. There is only one community pool and it's tiny. A lot of the sidewalks are sandy and muddy. There is also a lot of standing water which is common in the Houston area because of all the rain. However, I expected better because this is "The Woodlands". The complex is kinda gated. There is not a gate to enclose the property therefore, anyone can walk onto the property. However, there is a gate at the entrance for vehicles which is open during the day. After hours, the gate has to be opened by an app that residence download on a smartphone which has its pros and cons. I do like that there is a garden tub with jets in the primary bathroom. The Evergreen floor plan is very spacious and open. The leasing office staff and maintenance staff are all very helpful and quickly respond to all questions and concerns. They are the only reason I'm not giving this property 1 star. There's a lot more about the apartment to review but my biggest piece of advice is to come and see the complex and the specific unit in person. Look very closely at the everything inside and outside the unit. Pay very close attention the details. I would recommend The Park at Research Forest if you're on a budget and don't mind living in an older apartment complex. Update: The new management team has been very helpful and accommodating.
