"Been here for 2 years and never had a good experience. From the moment I moved in my apartment was "not ready" meaning it was filthy. Trash bugs and rat droppings everywhere. No inch of it was clean. Management has changed 4 times but has consistently been garbage and keeps getting worse. No one picks up the phone and going into the office is a very unprofessional environment and a complete waste of time. Apartment has seen rats, roaches, and horrible mold. Weeks at a time with absolutely NO HOT WATER. Outside is always littered with trash and dog droppings EVERYWHERE. Also a stray cat problem but they're probably just there for the rats. Occasional SEWAGE LEAKS leaving human feces and waste flooding near my apartment. Just horrible save yourself the headache."
"the bathroom I can’t even pee or shower, rats chewing through the wall, the office never fixes anything. I have to send my kids off to take a bath somewhere else. We can’t shower or brush our teeth, also the kitchen is worse I can even wash dishes my dishwasher has never worked, and rats come from under it. this is like living in hell and I’m very uncomfortable I cry every more and night I have to step into that disgusting restroom, sometimes I rent hotels just to get away I hate it here. help I’m depressed living here plus at night it’s a whole street market so good luck pulling in the gate but try not to run over the passed out drunks if their not sleep in the bushes by your door this place needs to be shut down, I catch about 5-6 rats a week I’m constantly buying sticky traps, my kids are traumatized"
"I passed this place when I was searching for apartments, but my gut told me to turn around and give it a shot. I am so greatful that I did, Jesse was so welcoming upon entering the office. He made me feel right at home, and because of his welcoming personality and beautiful complex, I paid my application fees. I loved everything about these apartments, the grounds, the amenities and did I mention JESSE JACKSON. I can't wait to settle in and finally call Urban Palms home."
"It’s not a great or a even a good place to live. People live here because they have too at the time and move out. My dishwasher has been broken my entire living here. Over a year and they keep just coming at “fixing it” I know that not normal. I’ve asked a million times for a replacement. Nothing. My fan in my bed room is ugly and old. The office has new fans. Why can’t I? Mind you I’m in a upgraded unit. I pay the most rent for a upgraded one bedroom. My 1 bedroom door to my upgraded unit has been repaired. Maybe there was a ceiling fan in living room at some point long ago. They covered ur up. Horribly at that. This is a upgraded unit. My carpet is old and disgusting. They started fixing fences never finished them. Sometimes trash valley comes sometimes they don’t. My water in my shower is very hard to get the right temp. So not a very comfortable stay for the price you pay."
"It's a nice place to live. Maintenance is on time most times. It has nice environs inside. Also grateful for the resident enrichment and food distribution programs to help residents during the pandemic. Still lots to be improved on though (like the constant smell of smoke around the area in the evenings and the roaches! Those are a big one)."
