"Update: This is a response to the apartment’s response below. When I sent my emails I asked if my paystubs would be an option. The website gave an option but still required sensitive information that I couldn’t provide or bypass. This was the reason for the emails for assistance to see what options I had. I did not get a response back to my emails or by phone. I have the emails I sent explaining this. This is why I couldn’t proceed with the application and requested about the deposit and it being refunded. As of date, I have not received a call, email or information regarding a refund. As stated prior, this was my experience. Based on my experience, I visited this complex and was readily impressed. I was eager to begin the process starting almost two months early to allow sufficient time. The first situation was the website not accepting the monetary requirements after multiple attempts. I was referred to one individual in the office who did not make an initial attempt to give me guidance. However, it was found it was an issue with the website. Although this wasn’t the best experience and inconvenient, I wasn’t deterred and proceeded. I sent multiple emails to keep an open dialogue. The obstacle was the employment verification process that I wasn’t able to complete. Emails were sent explaining that the sensitive information being requested wasn’t something my employer would allow. At first I was advised via email by a staff member that it would be recorded so I could proceed. However, I was again requested to perform the same steps. I sent a email identifying multiple options of what I could provide. This was nearing my vacate date with no relies back or communication regarding my emails for assistance.. I contacted the complex by phone explaining again that I was unable to provide the sensitive information that was required. At that point, I still had no conclusion of acceptance due to being unable to continue. Due to my vacate date rapidly approaching, I was unable to complete the process. This was not by choice since I made many efforts to diligently attempt to satisfy the requirements. I was referred to another individual in the office when I inquired about a refund of the $300 deposit. I emailed the party but received no reply. So, I forwarded the same email to another individual in the office in the event it wasn’t receive. No response was received from either individuals. My calls were now going to voicemail when before they were answered immediately. I finally reached a individual in the office who advised that management was escalating the issue with a follow up to be received the end of business of the following day.This was February 16, 2024. No call has been received and no refund as of date. This was my experience."

"My Husband and I’s experience here at sky view flats has been great. From first interaction with Tawana to getting our keys from Karla. It’s all been such a smooth process. Tawana was so extremely helpful in getting our apartment when we needed it by especially with us being on a time crunch. She has always been super helpful even after moving in. The staff themselves have been great to get information from or get things fixed. So far our experience has been amazing and we are so excited to be living here!"

"This review has taken me almost 3 months to submit. This is because I really want to like this community and don't want to share my disappointment, however, being that I reside here and cannot escape or get away I cannot avoid it or just let it go. I must share the facts with those who rely on honest reviews. First,the employees are good. From move in to now they have addressed any concerns that I have had- hence the 3 stars. As for the compex itself, I really regret leasing here. The appearance is nice until you move in and realize how shabby the building was done amongst other things. The contractors used staples to hold up drawers at the desk in my unit and the dishwasher isn't even nailed down so it tilts if I don't load it just right. I haven't called to request repairs because I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by having to make time for maintenance to come by(I'll deal with it when I am free to do so). I speak of only those 2 issues to point out that if they cut corners there, what else isn't just "held together" by whatever is easiest? Skyview advertises and promotes that their apartments have extra insulation for privacy and that is a LIE! I don't expect total silence, however, I also do not expect to hear the garbage disposal of my neighbors, or every single outdoor noise. I mean you can clearly hear it all!!!!!!!!!! I just moved from a community where my unit was facing a street and it was much more quiet than this unit(I include this fact so that my statement regarding the excessive noise is not taken as me being someone who expects total silence or has unrealistic expectations while living in an apartment). I feel that I was misled and misinformed by being told that I wouldn't have to worry because of the "extra" insulation". The last thing I will share is the poor drainage. If we get a really good week or so of rain, I will need a boat to get in and out. The water pools on the sidewalks horribly and in the little yards of the 1st floor residents(I feel for them). I must say that I haven't regretted leasing anywhere in over 15 years , but I cannot wait for my lease to end or for me to budget enough to have funds earmarked to relocate before then and just pay to responsibly end the contract early. I am so ready to move!!! I thank God for shelter though, so I'll just sit tight until He says, "Go". I just want to feel good about what I pay good money for is all(today I paid rent and for the first time in a long time I was upset with myself for the money that I am paying/going to pay to lease a place- usually I don't mind but today I did)."

"I am really looking forward to moving into Skyview next month. I had a little miscommunication but Tawana took away all my worries and stress! She really went the extra mile for me. The office was closing but she still gave me all the time I needed to make sure I was taken care of, everything was in order and that I left confident in my choice of choosing Skyview. I’m looking for a fresh start by relocating from Houston to Cypress, and I’m now excited about this move, so thank you Tawana!"

"Had a chance to go by this beautiful property spoke with a lady by the name of Wendy. Wendy was very pleasant and understanding. I explained that I need a 2/2. Once available I will be renting. It's always a good feeling to know that the office staff are pleasant. The property is awesome."
