"I would not recommend purchasing Samsung appliances from this location. The closest authorized repair facility for warranty claims is 2 1/2 hours away. They only have one technician that comes to this area once a week. When I purchased this appliance I was told any warranty work would be completed by a local authorized company. I have a technician coming for the third attempt to repair a $300 microwave in April, 60 days after I scheduled my first service call. Samsung refuses to replace the microwave until after the third repair attempt. The technician in past visits has replaced all the control boards and spent over an hour on the phone with Samsung support. Lowe’s will not take the appliance back because they have a two day return window for appliances, and the microwave was installed and found to be defective after that window had closed."
"This review is in regard to the Davenport, Iowa location only. A few weeks ago, I stopped into Lowe's with my boyfriend to find a plumbing part. As we searched the aisle, it became apparent that we needed advice. While my bf continued searching for the right product, I searched for an associate to help us. After walking the entire plumbing section, including the fixtures and appliance sections, I finally saw an associate in the carpet area and asked her if we could get some help in the plumbing section. She called for someone to come to the relative aisle to help over the intercom. I walked back to that aisle only to see my bf still searching. Then, I noticed a Lowe's employee at the other end of the aisle. Apparently, he did not hear that loud announcement because he never approached us. I asked him if he could help us. We explained our situation and he listened. After we finished asking our question, he replied, "Yeah. I don't know anything about this stuff. My manager sent me to watch this section but I have never been trained." When I asked him if there was anybody that could help us, he replied, "Probably not. The management here does not know what they are doing." We left. The next week, I returned to this Lowe's to get some keys made and to look at door locks. Additionally, I wanted to purchase a hardware cabinet I had seen earlier. After waiting for 5 minutes by the cabinet, an associate came over and then called for a hardware associate. It was the same associate that could not assist my bf and me the week before. I asked him about the cabinet's price because it had two tags on it. He simply said, "well, then it must be the total of the two tags." and he walked away. I decided to not buy the cabinet. We walked through the hardware aisle to look for the key maker and door locks. As we stood in the aisle, we noticed an associate at the end of the aisle doing something on a machine. We also saw the "cabinet" associate standing near the other employee and doing something on his phone. Neither one of these employees approached us or even indicated they would help us when they finished up whatever they were doing. We left the store and headed to Home Depot. Wow! We got some help making the keys by a wonderful associate who also helped us pick out the door pieces wee needed. I recently purchased a home that needs some work done. I also received an inheritance that will help me purchase the materials I need to do that work. I stopped at Lowe's first because years ago, I represented a company that had its products in Lowe's stores. Back then, Lowe's was known for their knowledgeable associates. I am not sure what happened but I can assure you, I will never walk into that Lowe's store again! I imagine the Moline Lowe's is fine but I think I will just become a Home Depot customer from here on out!"
"ZERO STARS! I spent nearly 8k on appliance that were to be delivered on set day. I spent 3 hours there to ensure everything was in stock & available for delivery. Nothing showed up. I spent another 4 HOURS in the store cancelling the order and getting it refunded to the credit card I opened. Credit card statement arrived and there was still 3k owed on an order I NEVER RECEIVED. This took me HOURS on the phone with the credit card company to determine what was not refunded and multiple trips back to Lowe's to request refunds. I had to request a refund from the 3rd party to refund the warranty FOR ITEMS THEY NEVER DELIVERED. I ended up paying off the card to avoid interest charges and it hurting my credit. I spent so much time and was shorted a few hundred dollars for appliances I NEVER EVEN had in my possession. If you cant open the box to see what you are getting and carry it out of the store yourself DO NOT TRUST LOWES!"
"Horrible customer service by management. They have been giving me the runaround. For a while, nobody acknowledged the fact that my doors were still not replaced. I bought three doors from Lowe's in Davenport, Iowa in May 2022. The doors included a back patio door, a fireproof garage door, and a main entry door. The doors were delivered by their contract installer team. At the time of delivery, it was the cold fall/winter months. These contractors decided to replace all the doors at once instead of doing them one at a time. They arrived around 7 am and left around 5 pm. Unfortunately, all three doors were defective from the manufacturer. To make matters worse, throughout the day of the installation, the installers made racist jokes, showing no regard for our presence or the fact that my 11-year-old heard them. The doors were installed with scratches, splits, dents, and other issues. The front screen door was not installed and was left in my garage because they planned to reorder all three doors and come back to install it. However, fast forward to today, and nothing has been done. None of the three doors have been replaced, and the one door that was ordered three times was always incorrect. Despite being in contact with the assistant store manager, he has been ignoring me. It seems like they have no idea what they're doing and keep shifting the blame onto each other. To add to the frustration, I've had to rent a storage unit to store the screen door all this time."
