"Contracted for tile backsplash. Supposed to be informed of installers arrival time night prior. No call. Installer discovered person supplied by H.D. measured incorrectly & there wasn't enough tile. Fortunately tile was shelf item & there was some in stock. Although they did deliver item, had to run to store to pay for tile & install cost. Of course price quoted was incorrect & was low by $ 130.00. After install had to return excess items store ordered. One & done with this place."
"It is the worst store I have ever visited. The customer service is terrible. The manager who was there on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 is a terrible person. She does not know how to treat a customer. They should send her to a course on how to treat a customer. It is a shame. of person will bring losses for the company so the depot home will lose several thousand dollars that it will not buy next year"
"This 5 star is for the Rockford store only. We were first at the Machesney store to start with for metal fascia and soffit covering. The self for the materials we need had one piece of each plus were damaged. The lady that came over to assist us greeted us and we showed her what we needed. She said she would check the stock in the back. She found it and returned to us informing she was going to need some help. I offered to help but she all ready called for help. I see two guys meet her in the cross isle. She shows them what she needed to get off the shelf. Next thing she is coming back to us with a embarrassed like look to inform us they were all out of both items. From her look I suspect they told her to tell us that bit of information because they didn't want to get it off the back wall and they didn't know she all ready informed us that she found the items. So sorry that lady has to work in those conditions."
"Today (06-29-2022) Another Home Depot rant, sorry in advance because I normally don't pick the negative things to post but today was frustrating. I received tons of messages and emails about 3 items that were ready to pick up. They claimed they were picked and ready for curbside pickup. Let's just say that I was waiting around 40 minutes when the guy finally went to get a fork lift to pull the water heater from the racking. So I walked around snapping photos to post and hopefully reflecting the current high prices. --‐------------------------- I'm just have a curious question and would like a member of management to respond. Are cell phones allowed at your cashier's register and if so are they really allowed to be ignoring the customer while they are watching football streaming on their cell phone? It sure was a big distraction and allowed me plenty of time to get my phone out and take this picture. I"
