Acadia on the Lake Apartments

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! This place is roach infested! I would not recommend living here at all!!!! This building needs to be condemned! It's under new management & I went to the new property manager (Paul) to ask to be released from my lease because of the roaches all over the place. His response was that there is a procedure that had to be done. His "procedure" included sending maintenance people to take a look & they were in my apartment for not even a whole minute, during the day, & "saw nothing" His next procedure was to send the exterminator. His response after that was that the exterminator will come every week & it's "MY RESPONSIBILITY" to move the stove & fridge & every week after the exterminator leaves & clean behind it. Is he even serious?!! Like that's going to solve the infestation problem! On top of the roach infestation, some of the outside of the building is cracked and/or missing a couple of bricks. That's an accident waiting to happen. The ac/heating vent is SUPER loud & old & is right next to the bedroom so I have to use ear plugs just to block out the noise. They like to say that there is a "resort type pool" Obviously, that's a lie. Last summer (during the awful heatwave) the pool was barely opened. The window's are old & very little insulation. The ONLY good thing I have to say about this building is the maintenance staff. They are quick to fix something, friendly & helpful. I can't wait until my lease is over. Again, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! I wish I could post some of the pictures I have to show the horrible living conditions here but for some reason it's not allowing me to do so."

"Living at this apartment has been a learning experiences had two floods water damages to my apartment. Had a closet door fall on my head went to hospital. Management is no help their not truly on what they say. Do your research before moving in."

"Since I was seriously searching for a suitable apartment, I was very disappointed that whoever was to provide me with a tour was a no show at the appointed time 0930am. Know that today is a holiday, Labor Day, but the Leasing Office did not post a sign they would be closed today. Prior to my arrival, Acadia had sent me two email reminders. Called them twice from parking lot, no response. Did drive around the Acadia on the Lake complex taking pictures of a few of the amenities provided by Acadia & to check how grounds and facilities were being maintained by management. Nothing disturbing. Read the website reviews. Many were negative and unflattering but noted the complainers in some cases were the culprits. Admired management proactively answering each complaint's concerns. One occupant gave a raving review Talked to one long term tenant who was quite satisfied. Never did see any of the soon to be available apartments. Although I have a vehicle & drive, good to know VIA buses Stop here. Have no pet, considering, Apartment is animal friendly. $200 non-refundable Deposit and a monthly $20 fee. It has most of makings as the place to live, hoping & optimistic that Acadia would have been for me."

"We moved in about a month ago and it's been great! The approval process was fast and we received our answer the same day. Our apartment is perfect for us and we even have a nice sized balcony and washer/dryer connections. To make it even better the private lake is just a short little walk from our apartment and it's so relaxing to be out there. We've had just a couple small issues but Noemi and the maintenance team got us all fixed up! A lot of tenants have dogs and we feel totally safe walking ours around the property even late at night. Definitely come check them out."
