Towns of Chapel Hill Apartments

"Warning to prospective tenants………I wanted to love this place. Megan was excellent when I moved in and responsive. I was so excited. Then about 1 month into my lease, the NOISES began…….dog barking incessantly for hours on end through paper thin walls…..screaming and yelling kids for hours throughout the day…..and I have grown kids so I know what “normal” play sounds like with young kids, and what screaming bloody murder for hours sounds like. 2 very different things. Complaint after complaint via email, in person, and on the phone. NOPE. Nothing done. Lip service. And no response to my recent complaint. That tells me exactly what I need to know from this management company. This property is run by Greystar. Other companies do a much better job of enforcing lease violation issues. This property does not. If you are a working professional who abides by the lease rules, stays quiet, pays your rent perfectly every month, DON’T RENT HERE. They will choose to coddle the rule breakers and the ghetto behavior, before they will address your legitimate noise violation complaints. This property could be great. Maintenance is great. But their lack of respect for the respectful tenants is greater than their willingness to enforce their own rules and to keep up a property that is going downhill. This property is old and overpriced for what you get. Having to deal with ghetto behavior and noise, makes this property lose its value. It’s not worth the rent or constant disrespect to live here. Rent elsewhere, like I will be doing once my lease is up. It’s just not worth it to live here, especially if you’re a respectable professional who respects others’ rights, privacy, and standard of living. Because you won’t get it in return. DISGUSTED."

"Gas leak in my unit for MONTHS if not the Entire year, they did little to nothing to fix this & did not care at all. Gas leaks are deadly, I wouldn't trust these apartments. They didn't care if I potentially died from there lack of competence. Once they finally did something, they left my apt with HUGE holes for weeks. Bugs got in from those holes. Centipedes, rolly pollys infested."

"Been living with this hole in the ceiling for 10 days now. There was a gas leak, that I likely have been living with for months and only when a new tenant moved in did they notice. The day they needed to do this (repair the pipes), they tried to enter the residence by force and that's when I noticed them come in. They deemed it an "emergency" yet I still have holes in the wall. There's new bugs that are starting to get in as well. My AC went out today, called and have to wait until Monday to get AC again... The staff is nice SOMETIMES, but when you complain about anything all of a sudden their to busy to help."

"Town of Chapel Hill... this is a very nice community! Nice and quiet, clean and very pleasant staff! All staff are nice! Especially, Megan and the maintenance staff!!!!! Megan is very attentive to the residents and actually follows up on everything she says she will follow up on! If she does not have the answer to a question you can bet your last dollar that she will find the answer and get back with you!!! She is awesome! Margarito and Chewy are very knowledgeable Maintenance staff that can fix ANYTHING! I love it here! Thanks guys for doing an AWESOME JOB!!!"

"Great place to live and a good community, close to Barksdale elementary and pet friendly. The apartments are not luxurious but they are well maintained and updated. Management is always nice and they try to have activities for all the residents including the pups."
