Walnut Creek Apartments

"Don’t move here ! They have roaches, the water is always being turned off for hours for “repair”. I haven’t had hot water in my bathroom sink since I’ve moved in (October) the shower turns hot and cold it can never just be hot even when it’s set to be that and when maintenance checked it they said the water pressure is correct. Imagine taking a cold shower and it’s 40 degrees outside but I’m paying a water bill . You’re not allowed to schedule a day for maintenance to come so they’re allowed to go in your home even if you’d prefer to be home when they’re working in your house . I told the maintenance that they didn’t have to go in my room because I was leaving at the time and I closed my door . When I got home my room door was cracked open. I was given a lease violation because my guest was talking loud outside on the phone and a resident rudely asked them to move and followed with threats when they could’ve just politely asked them to quiet down because they’re loud or disturbing whatever they had going on so my guest said they’ll quiet down but they’re not moving because they’re waiting on a Uber and that they’re “f’ing grown, please don’t tell me what to do” because the man was threatening the woman he thought she was a man , she’s a woman and said he’d call the police. I then received a call from the office , not about the threats but because of my guest cussing at a resident. One curse word… it wasn’t loud , I can hear everything from my apartment the yelling wasn’t loud enough to be a violation in my opinion but to each is own, I don’t even feel safe enough to host a family gathering in MY OWN HOME that I pay for because of how sensitive this apartment complex is, usually apartments will disclose a quiet hour where noises are not tolerated but nope you’re not aloud to make noise at any giving time and God forbid you be human and have a disagreement with anyone and it’s loud. Residents smoke and it’s a horrible smell who knows if it’s marijuana but you’ll get a email regardless . Your neighbors will literally report anything to the office your tv can’t even be too loud or you’ll be violating the lease terms . Also my neighbors are always arguing and yelling and hitting the ceiling, I’m on the second floor and can hear everything like I’m on the first floor . I even seen my neighbors slamming each other against the wall when I was walking into my apartment (outside) I could go on and I’ve only lived here for 2 months … yikes"

"Lived in multiple units here from their smallest to biggest unit. I loved my experience here especially with the staff, maintenance is top notch and always gets the work done in a timely manner. The office is very understanding and always kind. Definitely a family environment at this place and would recommend to anyone looking to live here!"

"My family and I enjoyed living here the first year we signed and honestly had no issues. The second year was a nightmare between noisy neighbors, and the complex policing car registration stickers. The water is constantly shut off for “repairs” 6-8 hours at a time, 1x-3x a week. There are problems with the hot water including going out for almost two weeks during the holidays this past year. The front office staff is professional and courteous when they want to be (key phrase- when they want to be) and the maintenance staff have been great and responsive. It’s an “okay” complex for the price, but I would recommend looking into other complexes. This should be “Plan C” at best."

"I truly appreciate the office and maintenance staff. Yesterday, Juan installed 2 sinks in my apartment. The job was completed on such a precessional level. I just put in my work order only a few days before that I wasn’t aware that the new sinks were already in. So to my surprise when I got home I saw the fantastic sinks as well as he completed the work by moving all my stuff on the top and on the bottom (which I would have moved if I would have known he was coming) of the vanity and replacing everything back just like I left it that morning. I truly appreciate your skills as well as your professionalism. Top notch customer service!"

"I have lived at Walnut Creek since 2018 and I have loved it. The office staff is nice and friendly. Holly, Courtney and Jacob are always professional, but also take the time to get to know you. Communication is always quick. Saul, Juan and Blake are always quick to help with any needed maintenance. The property has been updated with a new roof, paint and the landscaping is always well maintained. The property is quiet. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, this is it. Let me address some of the things that have been mentioned in other reviews: Water: The property owners spent quite a bit of money recently to update the shut off system for the apartments. Instead of having to shut off the water to the entire property to fix things, they are now able to shut off just a couple of buildings at a time. This has helped improve turn around time with needed repairs. Repairs will happen. It is part of living anywhere. Pest control is performed several times a year and also at the request of the tenant. I have not had any issues. I have lived in other apartments in the area and Walnut Creek by far is the best. I have met quite a few of the residents here and a lot of them have been here for years, some even decades."
