"This is the most horrific management company of this complex they take for granted the audience that they serve they not doing nothing but making these individuals worse they not helping at all they allow drug selling to be going on they allow assaults to be committed and the security is worse than the residents"
"I live at this facility. I live upstairs directly over Darwin in apartment 238. This property was purchased by Fort Worth Housing as transitional housing for people who were homeless and had been living at PNS( Presbyterian Night Shelters). Only homeless person's coming from PNS can apply and must do so through the housing coordinator at the shelters or through Fort Worth Housing Solutions by virtue of a voucher received from FWHS via PNS. Very few of the photos are accurate only one room, 138, has a bathtub. All the rest have showers. Room 100, is handicap accessible with a large walk-in shower no obstacle to prevent a wheelchair from entering this room and 138 or equipped with handicap bars. There is one room that has a bedroom and living room that was originally set up for a live on-site manager. There is a 6ft wrought iron fence around the property including parking. There is one double gate for vehicles and one pedestrian gate to get to the bus stops. Only recently did they start to have full-time security. Previously the gates were locked and from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. there was no security to let you in. There was no way for a car to get in except an ambulance or fire truck and even they had trouble sometimes. It's too bad that the fence can't keep all the roaches out they used to spray once a week but they quit because they were afraid of the liability if somebody got sick from the spray. Of course they weren't considering that roaches carry more disease and get on everything, even inside your microwave. Are is a 4-foot fence around it the island in the parking where there are couple of trees and some patches of dead grass that they put down on top of hard mud. Most of it is now mud would it rains and it's hard like concrete. This is the only place people can let their dogs loose and for them to go to the bathroom. However most people don't clean up after their dogs and so the whole area is contaminated as a result with all kinds of intestinal worms better contagious to every dog that goes in there. Recently the management changed to a new group that just started in July. I certainly hope they do better. Residents have caseworkers that they have to meet with every month if they want to qualify for a voucher or to be able to just stay here it's rather like being in the 7th grade there are workers from MHMR who hold classes twice a week, sort of the group therapy. Since many people here do not have any income, they used to be able to get points for meetings they attended which they could exchange for bus passes, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, cleansers, laundry soap etc etc. They don't offer much anymore The very best of this facility is the fact that there are two representatives from JPS here at all times during the day. There are many things they can help you with. Such as making appointments at the doctor's or picking up prescriptions from the downtown JPS pharmacy. That in itself is a tremendous benefit for anyone who uses JPS and/or has JPS connection, since virtually no one here has transportation other than the bus or Ubers. The real advantage to living here is the fact that your rent is based on your income. This is transition housing with the hope that you will get a job and be able to move or you will qualify for a voucher and be able to move into a regular apartment. This housing is what used to be called section 8 housing which was not necessarily transition."

"I like that this opened up for homeless people to have a home and to be given the opportunity to start over. I like the AA meetings. I haven't attended the church here, but I like that it's here. I really like the staff and how they're willing to work with you. I really like my case manager. This gives us the opportunity to prepare ourselves to heal and grow. Skylar is the best!"
"I've had a good experience here with all the social workers, housing, and MHMR. Management is great. They always make sure I have everything I needed. Maintenance man is wonderful. I love him to death. He kept me out of the heat. My apartment became nicer after the new cabinets were put in. It's wonderful. Everyone should have a good experience here. If they don't that's on them, not the people who run it here."
