"I have been living here for several months now and have had a great experience with both the office staff and maintenance. They are always really quick to respond to any requests. Johanna in the office has gone above and beyond to be helpful and is just a really kind person. I definitely feel like they care about their residents here and not just filling units. If you are looking for an apartment in the River District, you should put The Standard on your list for sure!"
"I came in and met with Bonnie. She was so sweet and professional when giving a tour. I really enjoyed all the amenities the property has to offer. She was able to answer all my questions thoroughly. I will definitely be back to Standard River District."
"I lived at the Standard for a year. Had I written this review around the time of move out, I would have given 3 stars. However, I am now 61 days after my move out date and still have not received my refund despite many emails with the manager. Pros: the apartment itself was very nice and maintenance was always quick to respond to needs. The gym and other amenities are also nice and well looked after. I appreciated the fridge in the package room, as I regularly order from imperfect foods. Cons: obviously, withholding my refund is a huge con. The dog park is astroturf which means that in the summer it smells... so bad. There are few sidewalks in the area to walk, so other options to take my dog out were limited. The parking garage has far more reserved spots than people who pay for reserved spots, meaning that despite many empty spots, it is rare that you actually get to park on your floor and often meant that I had to park on the roof in the visitor spots. Speaking of visitor spots, they are on the roof of the parking garage but there is no code to open the gate, so you have to go down and open the gate with your clicker any time you have guests. I have heard other residents complain about the units that they use as airbnbs, but I believe that they are in building 2 and I wasn't really affected by them. The visibility to turn onto Rogers Cutoff Road is completely blocked by the parallel parking spots, and I was almost hit several times trying to turn left because I couldn't see."
"I moved over from Dallas to Fort Worth and was excited to see the photos online, the security measures, and a closeness to work. When I moved in I attributed the unclean surfaces, gnats, wasp larvae, and dead flies to the old tenant, but was absolutely wrong. I petitioned the front desk and even the city 7 months out of the 14 month lease about a fire hydrant leak right outside the apartment thinking that would fix it. Once it was fixed, the bugs didn’t go away. The entirety of my lease was a battle with bugs, smells from the dog park, finding parking spots in the garage, checking to see that I got packages I wasn’t alerted by the package tech for, and incredible heat no matter where you were in the complex due to lack of trees and air flow. Even after noting all of these problems I was having throughout the lease and on the move-in forms, the complex decided to charge me $450 to clean it, remove carpeting, a “pet cleaning fee”, and more. I got $0 of my $400 security deposit back and had to PAY $52 on top of it. This doesn’t include the $20 per month of pet rent AND a non-refundable $400 pet deposit. I am so upset with this complex. DON’T LIVE HERE. LIVE AT MERCANTILE ACROSS THE STREET! It has some stuff that isn’t perfect, but it’s so much better than the Standard!"
