"If I could give this place a 0/5 I would. I never actually moved into this place because the apartment I was intended to lease was anything but move in ready. The window in the bedroom was not ever attached, if anyone wanted to they could have pushed it I. Through the outside with ease. The sinks in both the kitchen and bathroom were leaking, and the area under the sink was growing mold. The fridge was missing the handle. The laundry room door was not even attached to the rollers. I went to return to the office before they closed so I could let them know; however, even though their door says they close at 6pm, they actually close at 5:30 and the manager will sit in their office and look at you knocking on the door as well as calling. I returned the next day to let them know I did not feel safe moving into this apartment. When I brought the issues up to the office before moving my things in, I was taken back to the apartment with the maintenance man. He suggested he could simply paint over the mold in the kitchen. He also admitted to knowing that the laundry room door and fridge where messed up, but he simple had no control over them getting fixed because he hired contractors. When my mom brought up the unsafe window situation, he replied he never knows who will move into a place so, it wasn’t a concern of his. He also informed us that he had only two weeks since the previous tenants had moved out to try and fix things, and he said he was unaware someone would be moving into that apartment insisting the issues were because of a lack of communication with the office. When I stated I had placed the deposit on that apartment two months prior for the exact day I was supposed to move in, he didn’t have anything else to say. Finally after some back and forth with this man, we returned to the office where I again stated I did not feel safe moving into this complex, the manager agreed to refund me my money and informed me I’d get an email ten days later with how to be refunded my money. It has now been over ten business days and I have yet to receive an email. When calling the office for answers the manager has conveniently step out for the day at 4pm. ****P.S. they also take photos of your social security cards."
"I have a family member that resides in these apartments. I love the Floorplan of the apartment. BUT, there is a serious mold problem throughout the entire apt. Not to mention. There is an area in the kids room that leaks water. This has been addressed w/the office Mgr. Still no resolution. My granddaughter & great grandchildrens health is in jeopardy. Next step is to get code compliance involved."
"I cannot express this enough, not worth the money. If I could reverse time you could not pay me to live here. Sure the apartment is updated and “luxury” but only on the outside. They definitely give it that renter once over to trap you. Once you’re here for awhile (a month in my case) things break. That’s to be expected though, but when they don’t fix it and constantly update your work orders as being fixed even though they haven’t touched it, is a huge deal. Love feeling like not only the leasing office, but the grey star community does not care about the people who live here. Felt more at home sleeping in the ground in the military than I do here…"
"The unit that I live in is nice, very up to date and clean. However, I’ve been here for almost 8 months now and have only had a working dishwasher for less than 2 of those months. In addition, garbage disposal has been out (in picture) leaving this wonderful smell and mess in my sink. There is minimal effort to get this fixed. This is a decent community but the amount of money being paid to live here with constantly having broke. Appliances that never get fixed is robbery. It’s not an issue with the maintenance team either, but a huge issue with the leasing office and their communication with the maintenance team."
"I like living here. But the trash situation is getting annoying. We pay $20/month for valet trash (on top of another random $13 for “community trash” and out 4-figure rent), just for them not come everyday. And they don’t operate the compactor on the weekends and holidays, so it just piles up. It looks super tacky and is very embarrassing to have friends and family drive by a pile of trash. You’d think that since the management and maintenance staff live on property, they would take a little pride in where they work AND live and come up with a plan for the trash on the weekends and holidays."
