The Health Museum 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004

"This museum is such a delight! My family had a great time. There was a big exhibition on hard drugs which I appreciate. I love to explain and expose my young kids to this topic so that they can be aware of the dangers, and to teach them to make right choices. I liked it that they provided vital information like the Houston community outreach for the masses because not everyone knew about it. There were interactive activities and brain teasers around for kids and adults to play with. There was a lab for kids to do hands-on activities which you had to purchase a ticket for it. Ticket for entry into the lab isn’t part of the general admission ticket. Today there was an event at the museum whereby the back of the museum and the theater were out of bounds. This was a bummer. There isn’t a proper cafeteria in the museum. There are only two vending machines and two tables with chairs outside the restrooms. It is best to pack snacks for kids. There is paid parking in front of the museum. However free parking is available at Hermann Park. It is only a 2mins walk from the Hermann Park parking lot to the museum."

"This is a wonderful little museum! The DEA exhibit about the effect of drugs, and fentanyl in particular, on our society and region, is worth a visit. I highly recommend taking your teens and tweens and using the exhibit to start some deep conversations, as difficult as that can be, but there are many tools and resources here, and interactive pieces, that will help. We really enjoyed the over sized organs, the dissection lab and the Cell Lab activities. It doesn’t take a long time to go through, but can be tailored to your schedule easily, to take a little longer or be much shorter. All in all, a terrific morning spent with my kids."

"3 generations went together and we all enjoyed it! A traveling exhibit about the war on drugs in America was very interesting and the brain teasers were neat. We loved the different sections of body parts and the neat ways to explain their functions."

"Very interesting museum. It has some interactive activities that will make you think and overthink in some of those. Great place to take kids so they can learn about the human body and an extra exhibit. In my case, they had one related to the affections of drugs. I missed the laboratory activity, but hopefully, next time I visit, I have the chance."

"This place is very cute, interactive, and informative. However, I probably would not visit again as the experience is more closely catered to children as opposed to all ages. The cost of admission was a bit high and the gift shop prices are not for the faint of heart. Finding free parking nearby is a bit of a challenge and it is not very clear at first that tickets to the museum are to be purchased at the gift shop. Overall it was a pleasant little excursion and I do not regret visiting."
