"First time visit cost me $221. The visit was for a simple cough and the total time was no more than 15 minutes long. I really felt like I got ripped off walking out of this clinic. And plus, the person who attended me was an RN. I respect the work RNs do but to charge me $221 for this visit, the same charge as seeing an MD is really not right. Either way, this price seems too elevated since all the RN did was check my ears, throat, lung and heart sound. Offered to give me a steroid but couldn’t explain to me any possible side effects nor why this is helpful for my cough and how long it lasts. I declined to take the steroid since I am not willing to make a medication choice if I have no information to base it off. I commented to the staff at the end saying that this price seems very steep for this type of appointment and she merely said that that is how insurance works and that the insurance sets the rates. To me, that sounded wrong. The clinic sets their rates ultimately. I wish pricing was more transparent for those shopping for medical services. They took my $221 dollars in 15 min, but they lost a client for good. They said that I was charged this $221 figure only because it is a new patient visit, and that visit after the initial visit, we get reduced to a slightly lower amount. This new patient (me) only went in for a cough and they maybe dedicated about 5 extra minutes to ask me if my family had a medical issues historically, that’s it. So how is the higher charge for a new patient justified? Especially since I was not screened by an MD? This wasn’t a dignified service. If you are really going to charge me that much just because this is a new patient visit, then dedicate more time and get to know a patient. Otherwise, charge as you will any other visit. i was asked 4 more questions after hearing about my cough symptoms. If those questions take up an additional 3 minutes, well that is the cost of doing business to attracted new patience and keeping them."
"Be aware - this doctors office will mislead you on the phone so you will call and they can bill you. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THEIR PA'S SPECIFICALLY"
"I recently saw Randi at their mental health clinic and she was amazing! So warm, kind and non judgemental. She listened to my concerns and gave me great explanations for all my questions. She’s great. I highly recommend her and this clinic!!!!"
"As per Sandy Wilsons review that she was just pawned off to the PA's, so was my spouse and I...read on...she gave him 2 stars to bad there isn't a 0... I had Dr. B as a family doctor for many many years and he pawned my spouse and I off on his uncaring PAs , stating he was stepping back from his practise when he actually was not...it was merely a way of getting rid of patients he was no longer fond of. When I was in a very depressed state all he wanted to give me was pills, they apparently had a psychologist there on site but never requested I see her. I asked him back in Feb. 2023 to see someone and there was never a referral made. When I needed to get my yearly flu shot, they apparently never had any. If I was sick with a cold or flu nothing was prescribed and if it was, I was allergic to it and it was obvious to me that he was not looking at my chart. He kept lowering the amount of my heart pills till finally, I had to see a cardiologist who asked me why he kept lowering it causing my heart to race up to 144bpm. According to the cardiologist the medication I was on did both controlled the heart rate and the BP. Why give a BP pill that was causing nothing but an infection which his PA, and nurse would not give me anything to counteract it but just tell me to go see a specialist. Everything that was wrong, it was always go see a specialist. Like anyone can afford that all the time. Then they would say I owed nothing for my copay because I had a large credit. Well, if there is a credit they'd better deliver a cheque to me as my spouse and I am seeing a new doctor on August 7th. I have to take a migraine injection monthly and the injection caused swelling and large itchy rash lumps on my thigh where I had to give it to myself. His opinion when I showed him...it is a little bit of itch and rash, take an anthistamine 30 min before or would you rather have a migraine. It does keep the migraine away most times. Thank goodness I have an excellent, caring new doctor to see. Buffington used to care...but as my spouse and I aged out...he literally stopped caring. Btw...if you are a senior or coming up to be...he doesn't take medicare and he will show you the door or dump you on to his ignorant PAs and the so called Nurse FNRP...(i think she calls herself). It is not a place you want to come for medical care...and staff has a big turnover. When are you going to decide on another new office location. Never settled!! So...with that being said...at the end of the day you're better off to get out while you can. Karma eventually comes for those who treat others poorly. Please stop sending us registered mail. It will not be accepted and mailbox mail will be returned to sender. We have moved on...please do likewise and refrain from this harassment. Thank you, bless your hearts!"
"I have never felt more welcomed or at ease at a doctor’s office! The staff was friendly and the office is beautiful! Dr. Buffington listened to all my concerns and was very respectful and kind, as well. I can tell he really cares about his patients. I had to wait awhile for a new patient appointment, but it was definitely worth it!"
