Physical Therapy Today

"The reception and billing staff was a nightmare from the beginning and The terrific therapy staff could not make up for it. I received a call the day of my first appointment to inform me my insurance paperwork was not received only to have them call back within the hour to confirm they had the proper paperwork. I was not provided any instructions on how the process worked. My first appointmnet the billing staff kept my cc on file after we requested it be removed and charged us with out telling us or having our permission for a second fee. Every appt was a difference price. I was told it depended on what they did but each appt the same things were done and I never saw my assigned therapist after the evaluation. The final straw was when I arrived to be told to pay twice the price and when I asked why, the receptionist said I can take look came back and said she wasn't sure but I could go ahead and go back and pay on my way out once someone returned from lunch. I left and received a text within the hour stating I missed my appointment. When I called to let them know I did arrive for my appt and chose to leave and never return, Rachel offered once again determine why the cost was doubled for this visit. I politely told her this was another occurrence in a string of events making me uncomfortable returning to their clinic. Rachel hung up on me. Thank you for not returning the respect I showed of each of you."

"My doc sent over a referral and I filled out paperwork for PT Today on 6/26. PT Today called and made me an appointment for 2 weeks out. Today is my appointment, 7/12 -15 days later. I get a call that they don't have insurance verification and so they need to cancel my appointment. Not impressed at all! I was told 'they just missed your paperwork'. Well then, someone should call me and apologize that you messed up. I'm not going just because it's fun to go to PT. I'm going because I hurt and I need help. And I get the feeling they don't really care."

"This is the place I will come back to if I ever need physical therapy again. Atmosphere is beyond belief. Reception- could not ask for more pleasant smiling greeting upon arrival or departure. I can’t say enough for the therapists. All are very sympathetic/empathetic to my needs for rehabilitation."

"My 83 year old husband starting going for lower back pain. He was scheduled Monday and Friday at 3:00 pm.Then they told him he would have to go Wednesday and Friday at 3:00pm Last straw yet again they said he couldn’t come at 3:00 but would have to start coming at 5:00pm. He was bumped out of his time to go three times. Enough is enough and they are not that great anyway. You do everything for yourself when you go in."

"I had surgery on my ankle due to an accident. My Dr referred me to therapy. I physically walked in to PT today with referral and insurance card. I work in healthcare so I know the drill. They took a copy of my insurance. Three hours later the office called back and said they accept my blue cross blue shield and made me an appt for a week later. I completed all online questions. Went to appt this morning and completed more paperwork and a survey on iPad for the therapist. Then as I am waiting they call me to window and tell me they don’t take my insurance. I explained that they called and told me they did. The receptionist said they had no record that I ever came in. So in a nutshell they cost me over a week On getting started on therapy ,at least, as now I have to find a new place and get scheduled. This in turn costs me at least a week before I can go back to work. I understand mistakes. But I do not understand blatant incompetence and the attitude that it’s not a big deal that I’m delayed at least a week with no income."
