"*edit* 14FEB24- literally the worst care you can receive. You’re better off going to a third world country for help. They couldn’t care less about you. Really, seems like they want you to just “go away” so they can go back to playing candy crush. I talk openly about these issues because I don’t want anyone to fall into their trap. Don’t care about stigma. Don’t trust them. I served with honor and they have failed time and time again in spectacular fashion. I am not alone in this and it’s disgusting. Shame on you Lubbock VA Outpatient. And Shame on all the ones who allow this to continue. *edit* yeah they are still terrible. Awful. All the worst parts of army medicine can be found alive and well here. *update* - Tried using them multiple times over the last few months for several service connected conditions. They have been an abject failure at best and active antagonists at worst. On all benchmarks. Use them at your own risk. If you must- always remember that the staff are members of a medical network that does not have to see patients to continue to receive a check. They serve the institution, not the patient. I’ve gone back to paying out of pocket for community care. They’re that bad."
"Customer service is outstanding! Everyone is so friendly and always eager to help. From the moment I walk in, only 5 seconds goes by before someone asks what I need. This facility clearly cares for their veterans!"
"The sheer dumbassery is unbelievable. They scheduled an 0800 appointment, then allowed no one in the clinic until 0801! Then the check-in clerk asks why you are late to check in for your appointment! They take government idiocy to new levels! Also almost impossible to get anyone to answer a phone, or an appointment."
"***Edit after just over a year of using the facility*** Had a simple dental hygienist appointment at 0900hrs on march 31,2023. Checked in early as usual, but they were apparently running a little behind. So at 15 minutes past my appointment I asked if they could reschedule due to time constraints. The guy said no problem and asked if I wanted the same time. Fast forward to trying to submit for travel pay and they had marked me as a “no show”. It might seem trivial, but if they’ll lie about something so simple as that what else will they lie about? I will not use their dental clinic anymore due to a lack of integrity on their behalf. The sad thing is that I truly didn’t care that they were running behind, I just couldn’t hang around on that particular day. My primary care provider being top notch is the only reason they still get three stars. New to the area and so far my dealings with the dental department have been good. They referred me out to have a root canal checked. That process was easy peasy, they asked what days and times would be best before they even made the referral. Communication has been great and so far everyone I’ve interacted with has been friendly and professional. Will be seeing my primary care provider later this month and if they’re like the dental department it’ll be great."
"I have been going to the VA Clinic for over 20 years and I have always received great care. They are truly a blessing and they go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of as well as treated with respect and dignity. I am proud to have served my Country and am very blessed that my Country now takes care of all my medical needs."
