"Overall it was a good experience but the job was not fully completed, the locked were loosely placed, the caulk was not placed well so there are gaps which are eye sores. If that is the job you are going to do, do not charge as much as you do but if you are going to have high prices then live up to it"
"We loved working with Amanda at California Closets! Couldn’t have been a more seamless transaction if we tried! Amanda showed up on time, and was prepared to get down to business. She heard our initial design and tweaked it verbally before we started drawing it up. She took her measurements and got to work mocking the space up in CAD, in real time! We discussed and she made multiple revisions for us before sharing samples. Our client showed up and Amanda had no problem starting from the beginning so our client felt included in the decision making. She recommended some amazing subs for the tear out, electrical, and painting. Everyone we worked with was really genuine and easy going! I can’t wait for our next time working with Amanda - 10/10 would recommend!"
"Unfortunately my review requires an edit. While my first two projects went well, the third has been horrible. When mistakes in measurements or material delivered are wrong be prepared to wait a long time to get back on the schedule and prepare for avoidance. They fail to communicate and in fact avoid talking to you or explaining the process. The installers are not able to trim boards on site, sending any pieces that were the wrong size back to production and they will not prioritize you to get your job completed. Its going to take 8 weeks from start to finish(not including planning etc...just execution) to complete a day and half long project."
"I had a great experience with Barbara and California Closets. We needed to rip out a wall of hanging bars and replace it with a wall of functional space. Barbara helped design long hanging spaces, drawers, a built in hamper, jewelry storage, and luggage storage. She also provided her contact for an outside professional to demo the existing wall and patch and paint. Timeline was exactly what was quoted to me and every employee I dealt with was kind and considerate of my home. I was relieved that prices were very reasonable and the lifetime guarantee made the purchase even easier."
"California Closets installed a desk and cabinets in a living area. The design has met expectations. Barbara Ring-Noonan was our sales/design consultant; Kyle was our initial installation tech. Kyle did a great job at installing but was rushed towards the end and had to bring in help. It would seem that the office did not properly estimate the amount of time it would take. I am giving CC three stars because of the difficulty I face connecting with someone for follow-ups. Kyle had to order some additional components to fit with the design but was not able to install them. I had to continually check with CC about when this install would happen. I was met with silence until my husband went down to an actual showroom to talk with a physical person. CC work is supposedly guaranteed for life but that guarantee only works if you can get them to acknowledge you. I recently placed another request to have them fix a crack that appeared. It's been about a week with zero response. I guess we'll be stopping by the showroom again. My advice if you are considering using CC closets: (1) when they schedule the installation work, try to get them to add 2 days to whatever timeline they provide. Materials come damaged or the measurements are slightly off. The installation teams need time to work with those situations. Kyle would have liked to complete the entire project--including the installation of the ordered components--but had to move on to the next job. (2) ask them who you will contact to get future work done under warranty. Get their name and their supervisors name. If you don't have a contact, you'll most likely face what I'm facing now--silence."
