"Worst hospital in the country if I could give negative stars I would give negative 5. I wouldn't recommend to anyone especially if it's an actual emergency. Had people sitting around with massive blood clots, lady dying in a chair, guy lost 2 cups of blood and couldn't get any help. I'd recommend driving the 125 miles to midland before wasting your time and money here!"

"We were moved to the 3rd floor which our room was DIRTY. The heater smelt burnt even if it was in low. When moved the thermostat it does a hissing noise. We asked if we could change rooms and showed the nurse what was wrong she said oh I see but said she couldn’t do anything. We said fine can we at least change the chair because it was literally dusty. She said sure but it took her a while for her come back. She also did not once come in to check on our family member. The only time is when we called her to do a complaint on the room. She also was telling us that she was going to quit her job after she clocks out because umc was not it and nasty. So when we kept asking for things she would said in 30 minutes everything will come (this was when her shift ended). Then we switched nurses who was even rude. Which I get you are tired but you chose this career. Also, if we didn’t mention that our family member didn’t get her meal she wouldn’t had got it at all because they stated they didn’t put it in the system even tho we told them in the afternoon."

"The nurses on 3rd floor are rude. We got to our room which they said was clean. Comes to find out it was still dirty. All the nurses that came into our room had an attitude. One even was saying this is her last day she was going to quit in the next 30 minutes after her shift ended. So everything we were asking for she was saying it would be 30 minutes before it will get to us. So basically we took it as ask the shift. Also, it was a good thing we told them where was our family member dinner at. Mind you we ordered that in the afternoon before going to 3rd floor. The nurse that was supposedly going to quit said I’m glad you something I haven’t checked the system to. She then said we needed to hurry before 7pm or we wouldn’t get anything.. The only thing I could say good is the nurse Grace from 5th floor was awesome!"

"UMC is a Joke. We are currently here on the 3rd floor. The room it’s self smelt like Lubbock just received a dust bowl. The furniture is falling apart. There are so many thing wrong with the room alone! Second the nurses here do not care about their jobs what’s so ever! We moved to the 3rd floor at 4 it’s took 2 hours just for some water, still hadn’t check on us. Their staff is to worried about bragging about the reason they are quitting. The nurses here have attitudes like someone is incompetent!! So so rude ! If I could leave no stars that would be my choice!!!! These Nurses do not care about their In Patients at all. They do not talk, when asked something they just respond with attitude eye rolling! We had to ask for housekeeping to come back in to clean the room cause you could tell it had not been touched !"

"All I have to say is worst experience you could possibly receive. If you do cut any limbs off don’t go to UMC because you will be waiting for a room for hours. If you need surgery asap you’ll be waiting in a room for hours. If you need pain meds you won’t receive them till you get your room. And please don’t forget the homeless people being served before the injured that are in there just for a place to stay. It’s ridiculous my dad went 24 hours with his thumb cut off sitting in a bag of ice waiting for a surgeon to talk to us. Horrible hospital."
