"Our room had a weird odor when we walked in, went to iron our clothes, and the ironing board was broken. Also, when we went to shower, the body wash and shampoo bottles were empty even though the cleaning crew had just left our room.. I was very disappointed with our stay."
"Dear Marriot, Get better staff! My family checked in from Cypress, TX to attend a volleyball tournament nearby. Upon checking in we were asked if we needed the rooms cleaned the following morning. I said yes and we were off the next morning at 7 AM. The tournament ended around 2:30. When we got back there we were met near the elevator by housekeeping. However, they were not in our room but in a room across the way. When we walked into our room it had not been cleaned. I asked 2 women on the floor if our room was on the list to be cleaned soon. They both told me, "No" and showed me the list. We went back down and figured we could just go to a late lunch while we requested (yet again) housekeeping. The receptionist at the front assured me they would be up while we were gone to restock and clean. We came back an hour later and still - not cleaned. Finally, after a 3rd request, someone came to clean. This time we left to shop at the Baybrook Mall. When I arrived after hours at the tournament, an hour at lunch, and 3 hours at the mall---- I was looking forward to a hot shower and the bed. The room was hot, stuffy, and dusty. Nonetheless, I jumped in the shower. To my surprise, NO conditioner, not towels, and I was having a sneezing attack. Out of all of the hotels in this area, we chose Marriot and unfortunately, it was a huge mistake. I called the front desk to speak to a manager. I spoke to Toy. She showed no empathy AND she accused me of requesting conditioner already. I told her my husband was bald and my daughter had box braids so there was no way. Never again. Please address this with your staff."
"Staff were very friendly. Room was beautiful and spacious which included an ironing board, coffee, mini fridge and microwave. Plenty of clothes storage if having an extended stay with access to laundry services, pool and a gym. Free breakfast on offer, limited hot food offer but enough cereal and yoghurt choices. Also a small selection of snacks and drinks available for purchase by the front desk."
"Nice inexpensive option for the area. Hotel is nice enough and the rooms are comfortable. You're not going to get anything spacious, but they are decent enough. Breakfast was typical fare, but was enjoyable enough. Staff was nice as well and the place was clean."
"I have never had this awful of a customer experience at a Marriott property. I would say I was greeted with scowls, but I wasn’t even greeted. I was just glared at. The gal who was mocking someone as I walked up to the counter, rolled her eyes when I gave the name for the reservation and said to her colleague “oh it’s THAT one” Often times I get into a location before my employer, they add my name to the reservation so I can check in before they arrive. This has never ever been an issue. They refused to accept the request to add my name to the reservation and told me I needed to call my employer to verify. I explained that theyre on a flight and had just fallen asleep and they told me they did not care and they would not honor my boss’s request. So here I am, having driven over night, with no where to sleep before my flight. I do my best to be patient, understanding, and be as little of an inconvenience as possible. I don’t want to be a nuisance, I just want to sleep. I get that a last min reservation made to check in at 8am is probably annoying on their end. But the company is loyal to Marriott and has ambassador elite status specifically because we travel and work awful hours and the perk of giving them 10s of thousand a in business every year, is that we’re able to check in at odd hours."
