"Overall living here isn't bad and I've renewed my lease for another year. The two biggest complaints I have are regarding pet owners not cleaning up after their pets and nothing other than an email being done. Additionally, when I first signed, I was told that the complex would have package lockers for tenants. Instead, management decided to get a third-party package handler where we send our packages (for an obligatory monthly fee) that will then deliver when it is most convenient for the tenant. This is mostly an issue for USPS packages since they won't deliver door-to-door. Amazon, UPS, and FedEx packages still get delivered to your door but I know some people are not exactly comfortable with that. The gym could be upkept a bit more (one of the machines has been broken for about 3 weeks now) but overall it's at least clean and regularly maintained with cleaning wipes. The community is relatively safe and quiet as they've added a lot of new cameras to monitor the property since I've been here and they have added some additional outdoor area amenities (although I wish it went to the lockers instead). Maintenance tends to be pretty quick and I haven't had any major issues in my apartment either. Valet trash is pretty reliable as well."
"******UPDATE**** We are very blessed to be moving out soon. Even after the kind words from the apartment’s costumer service there were no changes made in terms of how easily packages from USPS delivered to our apt. It is ridiculously clear that the complex in an effort to save money they chose to no longer include a packaging room and make it into office space, hence sacrificing their tenants ease of living in the process. I have now 24hrs to get my packages from the Webster USPS facility before they return the package to the sender and I have to repay for shipping (which has happened more times than I could count). Their alternative program is an extra expense ON TOP of rent. I cannot stress this enough if you want to live in a place where management looks after their tenets well-being and confort DO NOT come here. ******** When I arrived in the building, there was a room in the lobby that was supposed to be dedicated or packaging, but we were told that it was under renovation, and that it would be Completed somewhere around spring 2024. Somewhere around November 2023 we found out that that room is no longer going to be used for packaging but rather it was going to be turned into an office. As a result, USPS No longer delivers packages at our apartment complex. Our packages are now at the USPS postal office and if we do not get them within the week, they get sent back stating that the recipient refused the package. Another issue that we encountered was that during the hot mountains of summer, the fitness room cut the air conditioning system, and we had to be very adamant about it being turned back on. Through both of these events it did not seem like the complexes owners had the residence. best interest in mind. I’m happy we will be moving out soon."
"******UPDATE-******* 02/14/2024 Kathy came through and made this right. It makes me sad that the person who answered the phone did the front office dirty this way (as the person who answered was temporary). I am just grateful there are still people in this world, and at these apartments, who genuinely care about quality of living and not just the almighty dollar. 01/31/2024 Kathy from the front office called and we had a very good conversation. She has offered to make it right, which is way more than I thought would happen. I am grateful that she cared enough. 01/24/2024 Definitely cannot wait to get out of here. The office people are rude, defensive, and lack any people skills at all. They sent a text to the entire complex on 1/24 to have the balconies cleaned off by 1/25 or there would be a fine. I lost several plants during the freeze--big ones. I will need a couple of days to get them all moved to the dumpster, not to mention I will miss the date because I will be driving back to Houston. I asked for a little grace and Miguel (front office staff) was amped up! He told me absolutely not...the lease says what it says and 48 hours was all the notice I would get (we got 24). I told him I was out of town and would not make it in time. He said "well, the freeze was last week." I guess I should know better than to have hope that dead plants could come back. I checked the lease and there is literally nothing about dead plants. I also asked Miguel if this was how he spoke to everyone, and he flipped on the "nice" switch very fast. This is literally the proverbial straw for me. I have stopped even trying. They do not make it a safe place to even hold a phone conversation, much less a face to face. Too much to worry about when there are so many nicer, kinder, and cheaper options."
"I moved in to the Lynx in June of 2023. I have loved the apartment and the area. They are always quick to attend to maintenance requests and I have enjoyed my time leasing with them. Austin in the main office is SUPER helpful and always answers any and all questions I may have (especially great since I am a first time renter!). Very glad that the Lynx has made me one of very few people to be able to say that their first ever leasing experience was a good one!"
"Very disappointed in the new management. The pools are always filthy, leasing agents never do what they say, our lease renewal is being sent WEEKS late after being told it would be sent at the beginning of last month. We referred family to live here at it took 4 months and many phone calls to get the referral bonus we were promised. The apartment above us is being renovated and the workers show up at 5pm and work until 11pm which sucks when you have a sleeping baby right below. Edit: Tried to respond and got no response back except an email response that “the phones aren’t working” So many new fees and hiking the prices up in our lease renewal. The walls are paper thin and people blast music all day long. No follow up here and the new management is really hard to work with. Edit again: Finally moved out of this awful place. Don’t walk, RUN from these apartments! Attaching a few pics from our life at The Lynx below, ants constantly (daughter experience anaphylaxis from stepping in an ant bed outside our unit, which is #1118, I would avoid that unit at all costs) pool always green or filthy, ants and bugs everywhere, but the worst part about this apartment was the ever changing management who were so difficult to work with. I have lived in apartments all over League City and these are the worst. Go to Cortland League City, so much better run."
