"What a great hotel with direct access to river walk. Clean and beautiful. Wonderful staff. Just a few blocks away from the convention center. Nice that we never had to drive any where feom the hotel. The rooms were nice."

"The hotel is nice but the staff is not accommodating and the services are average. We left the room from the morning, all day, and came back 5 minutes around 3pm to get something. When back at 7pm we saw that our room was not cleaned, I have called the reception to ask why the room was still not done. They told me that the cleaning personnel saw us in the room and decided not to clean it. We stayed literally 5 minutes, no one knocked at the door no one asked us anything and we never put the "do not disturb" sign. When asked the reception staff to send someone to clean the room they told us that was too late (7pm), and everyone left. Very bad service! After all we paid you never expect this treatment. Not suggested. There are other beautiful places on the river walk."

"Great hotel right on the riverwalk. Valet is $50 a day but there’s also a lot not too far away. That said, the valets were very professional. Rooms are spacious and have nice views. Rooftop pool. Their “Ambler” restaurant downstairs is very good. I recommend the sticky bun"

"Stayed at this hotel for my Franchise conference. Room was very clean and accommodating to my needs. Only recommendation is brighter lights at desk for those there for work. Restrooms and conference room was clean and inviting. Staff was excellent. Great team of people working there. Food was good too!"

"We recently decided that we needed a break after the holidays and book a last minute stay cation at the Hotel Contessa. It was so welcoming from the valet, to the ease of check in (they were busy but remained calm under pressure) to the perfectly appointed rooms. Every was just as we expected. Clean, comfortable and very well stocked! What’s nice is that this hotel is not your typical over the top large National chain hotel that rushes you through and makes you wonder if your stay was really important to them, but is a hotel with style and character. You can tell they are very proud of their hotel and everyone takes pride in your overall guest experience. Now the restaurant….. you can tell it’s a locally sourced scratch kitchen. Whether it’s brunch or dinner, the food was amazing and the staff was better than we could have imagined. It’s well priced even for a Riverwalk restaurant. You get more than enough food and their nachos are to die for. Next time I must remember to save room for dessert. We can’t wait to come back in the summer and really take advantage of the pool!!! I can imagine hanging out there for a girls weekend!!!"
