Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Plano/The Colony 6600 Cascades Court, The Colony, TX 75056

"Only 2 issues, otherwise place is amazing. The 2 issues al.ost ruined our stay. The issues? They had 4 legs and yip yipped for 3 hours off and on from 8pm until I finally passed out on benadryl after 11. One yip yip was in room across the hall. The other 4 or 5 rooms away. Try calling the room? Yeah, no answer but they got quiet for about 5 minutes. Then started up again. Was the little fuzzball left alone? So after another hour goes by, I call front desk. Not trying to be a Karen really I'm not. Just really tired from driving in garbage traffic, need sleep. Please. Sure they say. We can handle this. And? Nah it didn't work. Great place to stay, especially if you like hearing high pitched dogs barking all night. Or bring your sleep meds..."

"We stayed here after a wedding and it did the job! The location is great and the rooms were good. There is not a bar and the fire pit didn't work but that's ok! I even left my wallet and it was returned intact which is always a bonus."

"The location is close to the freeway which is super convenient to so degree but rooms get some noise from that. The housekeeping was just a disaster as no shampoo in both days. When I asked to talk with a manager I was told no manager is available until 3:00 … the front desk guy didn’t even tried to do anything to remediate the problem. On top of that calling front desk is a wishful thinking or finding someone at front desk … you have to walk to the back room and grab the front desk person. On breakfast is standard as it can be."

"The place was "ok", but nothing special; it felt dilapidated and old; the "kitchen" did not even have a simple oven pan, so the oven was effectively useless and there was not a trash can that was easy to find. Even the bathroom was "basic" and for some reason I had to bend over to my knee level just to get soap from the dispenser. Also the bed was not the "Marriott" Quality I've come to expect as a Platinum Elite that says in a Marriot almost weekly. And how do you have a pool but no hot tub?Sadly this is most likely a privately owned facility with Marriott's name on it. We call these 'posers' because they benefit from the "Marriott" brand but aren't actually true Marriott's and don't adhere to the Marriott quality those of us who stay in Marriott Hotel's have come to expect. Sadly Marriott no longer cares about quality which is why they allow 'posers' like this to exist with their brand/logo."

"Staying here proving my insurance 8 weeks while home repairs keep us out of home. Room are standard hotel cutouts with a tiny kitchen. We had 2 suites and 1 double suite. The suites had 1 bed and a fold out couch (one room was 1 big room with everything open and outer the bedroom was separated from the living area). They both had a stove with 2 burners (1 out in our room), a full refrigerator, dishwasher and a microwave. The 2 room suite had separate bedrooms each with their own bath a 4 burner stovetop, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. The living area was attached open to the kitchen with comfy couch (hide a bed) and chairs and a large tv. They served breakfast daily and all the normal things like pool and stuff like that."
