Hyatt Place Dallas/The Colony

"Rooms are okay. My only complaint is that the hallway in the second floor was stinky for days. Also there was hair in the bathtub drain. I really liked the couch in the room. Breakfast was okay."

"The location of this place is great, but that's where it ends for me. I made my reservation online, on the Hyatt site directly, and received an email with my confirmation for my ONE room. After our stay, we were charged twice. When I called, I was told that I made 2 reservations, which I did not. The person at the desk said they'd give my information to the manager to "see what they could do." That part was fine and understandable, but this person kept insisting that I had made the mistake, even though I clearly only had one confirmation for one room. I also checked in through the app, and I only received one digital key for the one room. If I had reserved 2 rooms, why wouldn't I have received 2 keys? His instance was the part that really irritated me, even going so far as to say (under his breath) "you can say what you want, but you're the one who reserved 2 rooms." When I told him I was looking at my email and that I only saw one confirmation email from Hyatt, he had the nerve to ask me if I was sure I was spelling Hyatt correctly! Seriously??? It has now been more than 24 hours, and I haven't heard from the manager. I called and was told the manager was on the schedule to come in tomorrow at 9:00, but that didn't mean they'd be there for sure. Who runs this hotel when the manager seems to be gone most of the time? Also, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel as opposed to one of several that are right there was the breakfast. When we went down around 9:00, there was barely any food (as in no bacon, no sausage, no potatoes, no pancakes, no clean glasses for juice/milk, and every little eggs). There were several people standing there waiting for food, so when a little more was put out, it was gone immediately. I do hope to hear from the manager soon for a resolution, but I don't hold out too much hope. Customer service here is terrible. The room was decently clean, but one of the first things I did was sit at the desk to get some work done, and it was sticky, so there's that, too."

"This is my 11th night in a row. Housekeeping has never entered my room. I have to make my bed, take out my garbage, go take towels from the cart, clean the sink. I've never been in any hotel that just completely ignores their "guests". I asked a staff member for shower gel because mine was empty when I got here. She mumbled "no engless" and walked by. Pathetic Place is what they should call it."

"The hotel was very welcoming in appearance, but the staff weren't all that friendly. The room was decently clean and stocked, but the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I did like the location of the elevators within the hotel, and all of the access doors are conveniently located. The breakfast wasn't replenished often, when I went about 8:30 am there wasn't much left to choose from. Over-all it was decent but not worth the price."

"I stayed here a couple weeks ago. I booked my room online from a third party. When I arrived I was told my room was paid for all I had to do was insert my card for a $15 deposit. The next day I see another charge for a nights stay. I called the hotel and informed them I did not authorize for them to charge me another night only a deposit. They stated the third party never paid them so I had to. I called 3 times to get the issue resolved. I also emailed them. One email was sent to say there were working on it. They never reached back out or gave me my money back. Absolutely would not recommend. Management didn’t actually care to help. I will definitely not be returning back."
