When my son had an unexpected medical emergency in the first few days home from the hospital, he personally called the children’s hospital to tell them that we were on the way, had someone ready to meet us when we arrived, and repeatedly checked in on us through many hours- well into the night- in the emergency room. He then personally called us multiple times per day while my son was hospitalized, in addition to the checks from the practice physicians doing rounds at the hospital. His kindness and care were invaluable to an exhausted, scared new mom and dad. My son is doing very well now, and I know that it is because his doctor was so quick to act to direct him to the very best care, and so supportive of his parents’ needs as well."
